I agree.....with a CT2 and 350 range and 425wHr per mile, it aint worth it.....I am about 95% ready to just get a Y and forget the CT3......or buy both and sell the CT3after delivery
Buying a Y for that same reason (that and I'm exhausted with not having a second vehicle) - due Aug 22 <-> Sep 5..

Can't critique you on the re-sale idea either...

I think almost the whole first 18 months of production (Troy Teslike estimates 164,500 units) will go to current RN holders who will pay whatever Tesla charges for whatever config(s) they choose to offer, not new people jumping the line.

No one that doesn’t already have a RN is going to get one of those, even if they cost $100K+. Just too much demand. And all trucks are crazy expensive already.
Are you advocating ~10% of existing 1.*MM RN’s switch or else? Even if its a $20k USD Cybermail?
‘Cuz crazy, is who RN-type people are?

You onboarded Cybertruckownersclub.com a year after the Launch Party. You haven’t been paying attention. This cohort leans Boomer and the next largest is <30yrs. IIRC.

Cybertruck is the sole reason these owners bought-in because it wasn’t crazy as OEM’s dinosaur party.

Same here. I don't need more than 2 motors or a blvd racer. Give me range. Honestly i would choose a 500mi CT2 at 65k over a 500mi CT3 at 70k
With you on this. At the time I reserved, I plop the 99 down on the CT2 as I didn't need the towing capacity or 0-60 mph time the CT3 was spec'd for. I did however, plan on negotiating for the 200KWH battery provisionally spec'd on the CT3 vs the 120KWh for the CT2. So I figured a 10-13K price increase would be expected if this was an option. We shall see.

I am so fed-up with all this price crap.....elon must be laughing all the way to the factory....I think there is no way they cant project price now that the design is frozen or show us what it is going to look like.....maybe w

and with range around 350 and usage at 425kWhr./mi......ummm.....not such a good deal
Ironically, price for electricity in my area has increased from .11c per KWH to .13c. Thats still a lot less than the supercharger rates, but everything is going up which means operational costs of the vehicle have increased.

I've felt for some time that we're going to end up with two models, CTDual and Quad. Dual will be more expensive than the original quote, but in line with current Model Y pricing. Quad will be pricey, a prestige model. I'd expect 300 mile range for Dual, and hopefully still the 500 for the quad.
yep, I think this is correct. Only 2 versions. Single motor never coming.

No, the prices have to hold.

All this doom and boom talking about increased prices is just ensuring that there are.

We shouldn't accept this doomsaying prepping for price increases.

No price increase.

-Crissa
there is NO chance the price will hold. He all but said it yesterday. Keep smoking whats your smokin.

At tonight's annual shareholder meeting, Elon said Cybertruck price and spec will change. That in 2019 when they revealed, they could not have possibly known about the inflation and current environment.

Elon said......
"It was unveiled in 2019, for a $99 deposit. Cybertruck pricing and specs will be different, it will be a damn fine product. We are tracking to be in production middle of next year. Tooling install starting in next few months. "

Between now and production, i hope the world and economy stabilizes enough to keep the price hike to a minimum.

Im prepared to pay 5-6 k more for a CT3. If its too much more than that, I'm going for CT2.

Went for my 1st oil change in the '22 Sienna. Dealer offered me 7k more than i paid new in nov 21. Gulp!!!!
I hope we are getting interest on these $100 lo

Quad CT at $120k on the face of it, I could swallow that price tag assuming a 500+ mile range. What I am more concerned about is first run issues. At $70k for the CT3 I reserved, first run has its issues but was offset by decent pricing. I am going to want free supercharging for life and a 10 year bumper to bumper warranty for $120k....

Sure buying TSLA at or near 52 week low and then selling higher is real complicated. Then throw in the general predictability of TSLA constant yo-yoing in response to their CEOs antics. Real tough way to make a living. On another site I used to tell the Fanbois when to buy and sell TSLA. It didn't really matter as most Fanbois are too poor to buy whole shares.

I hope we are getting interest on these $100 loans Tesla received from us. It is a great scam, for Elon. We gave him a over a million and a half interest free, $100 deposits. It is over 150,000,000 dollars he has collected from us, with nothing to offer, except that the cost of the truck is going way up, and still no clear sign of their production. He took advantage of us, and keeps kicking the can down the road. It's kinda criminal.

True, but at the time, the perameters were different, and have changed immensely. He has had our money, free of charge, for years now. Tell me, where else is money free?

I've got two CTs on order. Because it's a serious order for business purposes, a couple months ago I thought it would be wise to get something Tesla electric, and become actually familiar with the products. Well, I learned a great deal with the more or less bottom of the line 2021 T3. (A) I love the T3 and it makes zero difference the motor count or anything on the option list (B) it's likely virtually identical user interface, the T3 and the CT, with exception of all the other drivers gonna be totally in awe of CT (C) Now I actually like driving the T3, why buy the CTs? Answer, that's a business matter. We use trucks, and they are trucks.

Sure, it matters if the unit cost is 60k or 100k. But like I said, the T3 is exactly the same to me whatever it's motor count/plaid/whatever. And it's great. So the 2 stay on order as is, delivery date doesn't really matter, I'm happy.

And I too want some of whatever's getting smoked to invent this crazy cool stuff.
