Will tri motor or dual motor reservations be allowed to upgrade?
With the Model Y, the y seat config was delayed for a year+. A few weeks prior to launch, people who had the 7 seat version were given the option to change their config to a 5 seat model to get earlier delivery. I believe something similar will happen here.

Since there are no “quad motor” reservation holders, they have to do something. If the tri motor goes away entirely (not my bet) and reservations are auto-upgraded, or they will give tri motor reservation holders the option to upgrade before launch.

If they are making big pricing changes and huge delays for some models, I strongly suspect they will just queue people up in order and let them configure whatever truck they want.

I want starlink in the CT. I want it now.

Tesla will not charge over the top for premium connectivity. Low margin , High turnover.
Tesla will have millions of potential customers to connect to , the other guys are trying to get a blimp on the bottom line by overcharging to a select few.

The issue is not just overcharging a select few... Legacy is living in the past, they are delusional.

Tesla already upcharges for some features. FSD is built into your car, but the software is a $15,000 fee or a subscription. They also have acceleration boost which is like an upgrade to Performance without the wheels and brakes.

I can’t see them charging you so much money for advertised features of the car.

With enough Starlink satellites up Teslas will at least have better coverage than normal cellular, for essentials like remote control, messaging and navigation at little to no cost to every Tesla out there without any extra hardware upgrades.

2023 is FINALLY predicted to be the year for Cybertruck production.

Tesla is slowly lining up the pins in preparation for the big strike. Tooling, robots, machinery, vendors, contracts, etc. 2023 is going to be an exciting year for the millions of CT reservation holders.

I am looking forward to the production reveal and newly revised MSRP’s. I predict the Single Motor will be dropped and the Dual Motor will slot in between the $65,990 Model Y and the $104,990 Model S.
I'm going to disagree for a very practical reason. In all truck sales, there is a huge market for high end product. But there is also a huge market for low end product. All those white work trucks, right? Many of those work trucks, out on the road at 7am and back at 330, can do fine with 200 mile range, year in year out.

It would be a big mistake to target just the high end.

Given the new Testla lower prices .....they will allow their cars to meet the IRS requirements for receiving a government rebate. I propose that Cybertruck initial production will be a truck that meets this requirement.... below $80,000 ....leaning towards dual motor

has Tesla/EM come out and said their batteries will qualify for either or both arms of the incentives?

I see everyone talking like it’s a foregone conclusion

In a list of a million random Americans, you can expect about ten thousand deceased after one year.

They reservation holders skewed very much older than average, and we had a pandemic so yeah... Twice that, easily.

Never have I wished for doom and gloom just so I may get my reservation more quickly.

Reminds me of this clip from Marsha Warfield when she was asked about playing the Bailiff on Night Court after her 2 predecessors had passed away.

Wait for the quote from Warfield, it’s worth the wait.

In that video the guy says something along the lines of it being the best of breed for sitcoms. I tend to agree.

During the pandemic I started binge watching old TV shows. Night Court was one I watched beginning to end.

They are rebooting it. John Laroquette is in it. Melissa Raunch (Bernadette from Big Bang Theory) is the judge. I believe Episode 1 aired tonight.
