I'm sure I'll love the yoke...EXCEPT FOR THE BUTTONS.

I want a big center-activated HORN, and I want STALKS. The absent right-stalk is particularly troublesome, since you must use the screen to choose forward/reverse, and the auto-select will be less reliable off-road.

I have trouble using a touch screen while off road with all the bumping around and chattering about. I have to stop my truck just to use it. Makes me wonder if you want to make changes on the go with the CT , how seamless it will be.

It felt just like when I switched from driving manual to automatic, and my foot would search for a clutch at every stop. The Y has a big old window sill for your elbow. So, now I rest my left elbow on the window ledge with a couple of fingers on the top left corner of the yoke, ready to push downward for steering if need be. My right elbow is either on the armrest or my lap, and I have a couple of fingers on the bottom right corner of the yoke, ready to push up for steering if necessary. Or, I have both hands on my lap and my fingers/palms resting at the bottom of the yoke.

Then, when anticipating a maneuver, my hands naturally pop to the 9 and 3. There's no sloppy arm crossing, uncoordinated hands, or anything else.

Of all things in the adjustment period only 2 stood out to me:
1) the phantom top of the wheel grab in tight rapid maneuvers, and
2) where to rest my arms/hands.

After a few days ā€“for me it was definitely by the 3rd weekā€“ my brain simply worked it out without me even noticing. Now, I whip and switch the same as ever.
My brain wants to use a clutch when Iā€™m paddle shifting my Raptorā€¦ and I havenā€™t had a manual in 30 years

Most functions can be activated with a voice command. I will be installing some S3XY Buttons

I challenge you to change my Toyota Tundra from 4H to 4L without stopping the truck. Or even setting climate control on a rough road.

Off roading and knobs isnā€™t exactly a cake walk.

I donā€™t need to challenge you in thatā€¦ I have a tundra also.

Google's DeepMind LipNet program can identify lip-read words in videos with 93.4% accuracy.

Iā€™d imagine theyā€™ll still offer yoke or wheel option since they started offering the choice on X and S. I was going to go for the yoke anyways but I think offering the choice is the way to go.

I've never used the yoke steering wheel and would rather have a standard steering wheel. Concerned with ice, snow and turns when there's nothing to grab onto. All great for those in southern California, but farther north it's a different story come winter. Wasn't there something about getting to the option for heat or defroster in earlier software versions that had it about 2 or 3 options away and it finally got moved to the main screen? I don't honestly know, this would be my 1st Tesla. I would like the option if there is one.

Not sure where a yoke and safety come into play, mostly see it as a potential nuisance at slow speeds if you donā€™t have progressive steering. Doing a 3 point turn for example gets weird.

For as long as the CT is, I'm glad it will come with 4 wheel steer. I care a lot about this, so I agree, I could care less.
