Has the nose been shortened?
It’s weird, seems like in some shots it just looks shorter. We had lots of similar questions and panic about the front end looks back when sightings were a lot more rare. Then people just forgot about that, but it still crops up.

I’m with @Crissa on this though, if the front end is shorter, I think it’s better. More room for truck bits in the back and easier to park.

Definitely the same steel, just finished differently, or the grain is oriented differently. The production models will certainly be uniform in finish and orientation…
It could also be reflected color differences.

Good observation on the finish. The doors have a bit more polish than the rest. It looks to me like this is a new pre-production Cybertruck in which they took the doors off one of the previous prototypes so they wouldn't have to make more doors just to test the latest chassis developments.

Had not seen the front amber indicator lights in previous pics. Looks like they may be a part of the DRL strip/array.

A couple more shots of the Cybertruck spotted on April 30th, 2023. Some up close shots to get a detailed view of the front and side.

I like the angle cut window, that is sharp!

They said less than 3% size change. The front is definitely shorter but even if they took the 3% only from the front end that would be 7”. A frunk that is 7” shorter is a certainly significant.

Cool to see but the first thing that caught my eye was the huge windshield wiper. So disappointed it's still there. Every other car at least hides the wiper when not in use. I think this bugs me perhaps more than it should.

As I drive around in my new Cybertruck (December 2024, ha) I expect a lot of "boy, your truck sure is ugly" comments.
