I have some predictions. In order to reduce costs and make the Tesla Cybertruck semi affordable leadership and the marketing team made some changes:

-The blade light will be optional (possibly axed)
-The 3mm SS exterior was rethought due to overkill. It was thinned down to reduce costs and lighten the truck for longer battery range
-Roughly 300 mile battery pack will be standard on the DM trim
-A black interior will be standard (white will be optional)
-An alloy wheel with aero hubcaps will be standard on DM trim. Different alloy wheels will be standard on higher trims
-The powered tonneau cover will now be optional
-No spare tire will be offered
-Towing package will be optional
-RWS will be optional OR unavailable on the DM
-The mono-blade BAW will make production

List looks probable.

I think the range will be a little more like 320 plus.
Interested in understanding why you think the tonneau cover will be optional?

You’re thinking like Ford and GM. Make everything an option.

Having multiple thicknesses of SS require additional shipping and storage and complicates the build. Maybe 2 at most.

it’s either go the blade light and spare,or they all don’t.

2 or 3 rim/tires choices is reasonable.

Vault is powered, well past the point of no return now.

Towing will be there

Same interior options as the 3/Y, maybe with a different layout, but just 2.

BAW will be 2 long standard blades, nothing new need be created.

Range, there will be a 500+ mile version.

I’m just callin’ ‘em like I sees ‘em.

The powered tonneau was optional on the R1T until they pulled it. The 4-panel MANUAL cover is a steep $1800.

CYBERTRUCK, and therefore TESLA are a different 'BEAST'
Retractable Vault cover will be there as standard for Aero to improve range and to lock your stuff! Just thinkin'

Honestly, once you pick your trim to lock in your battery pack size and motors I'm guessing that the only option will be all season or all terrain tires.

I thought the whole point of the exercise was to streamline things as much as possible to keep price down, but we'll see

you lost me on the second half..

-The powered tonneau cover will now be optional
-----pretty sure we know this is standard, and designed into the castings
-No spare tire will be offered
-----we've known this since before the CT was announced
-Towing package will be optional
-----i am assuming towing is the main atraction for a "pickup" truck. there might be extras, but..
-RWS will be optional OR unavailable on the DM
-----fairly sure it makes more sence for this to be standard as well, economy of scale stuff
-The mono-blade BAW will make production
-----was there another option?

In another thread, there was a pretty good discussion that led to my realization that the 3mm claim is itself a bit of a miss-memory

the ONLY reference to 3mm thickness comes from a single, years old, tweet from Musk. Even then, that tweet does not unequivocally state that the entire vehicle will be 3mm. Instead only implying that 3mm will be used on the CT, and that 3mm isn’t that expensive

Personally, the notion of 3mm SS all over had become so prevalent that I took it as having been unequivocally stated during the unveil presentation, or on the website. But neither.

so I’d say your list on this point could fairly use an asterisk: 3mm all over may have never been plan, and has never been stated unequivocally

bizarre - Mandela effect has a new entry

Elon reportedly wanted 4mm thick SS for the truck.

You can see oil canning/waviness in the rear quarter panels on some of the photos towards the tailgate.

3mm thick skin? I don’t see it happening due to the weight penalty and higher material cost.

Was sold as something you couldn't dent with a sledgehammer. Makes me wonder if random people will take a sledgehammer to CTs since this was promised.

Really wish they kept the midgate concept. You don't want to have to run out of your bulletproof car to go grab something from the trunk.
