From the video shared yesterday with the Cybertruck next to the Model Y I was thinking "cool, the Cybertruck isn't 'that' much longer than the Model Y". Then I got to thinking, Elon said 19' truck and of course that calculates to 228 inches, which is only 4" shorter than the original spec., and in the video overlay of the Model Y over the Cybertruck (I suspect the first prototype was longer than 230") the Model Y was dwarfed by the Cybertruck. Is it all an optical illusion? Hmm...the Model Y is 187" so that is a difference of 3 1/2', or less than 2' on either end. I guess it all adds up.

If the overall length of the Cybertruck has only been shortened by 4" from the original 232", and the bed has been shortened from 6 1/2' to 6', where did that 10" go?

Install a third-party notarizing kit works like a dream.
As we've seen, tailgate is at the touch of a button....maybe the Frunk too!
I would prefer factory fitted____ aftermarket is do-able as you suggest. Be careful, choose wisely, as some 'third-party' might be a no-no 'notorious' ;) [ Duran Duran ]

there's lots of space for a bigger frunk, but they're using that space for other things; motors, air suspension, etc.
Not to be nasty. But, if they are using the space for critical components then there isn’t lots of space for a bigger frunk. It’s kinda silly how you stated that.

"Many Cybertrucks production completed"

Would you say that we have a... PLETHORA.... of Cybertrucks?
If it was anything else, all of this would be 'OVERKILL' and l'd be like 'gone, done 'n dusted'
It seems we [me] can't have production in the 'BEYOND PLETHORA' stage any time, now or 'Back To The Future'.

apparently not

this video is actually a bit of a troubling leak, internally

I suspect that’s also why gregger pulled his original post and stated he wouldn’t be a part of posting it
How does a large company like Tesla prevent this from happening when practically everyone owns a video capable cell phone?

I will give Tesla credit when the Cybertruck concept was being assembled in secret. Not one CT video or photo was leaked as far as I know.

We've all come to know and LOVE(?) 'potato cam'......
I expect next level 'LEEK CAM'
If nothing else, 'this' would make for a great 'Soup du jour'

Why would they care to hide the rear seat?!

That only makes sense in the alternate universe where people believe the earth is flat or in midgates despite the lack of ever mentioning it as a feature! :)

But that frunk is almost pointless!
If you’ve been following things you will nonetheless notice Tesla has been careful not to show it. Franz explicitly asked for someone with a camera not to film in and none of the links, bar one, have shown much of it at all (that one showed that the beta build had fold up seats).

I'm not worried about closing it manually. Just would like to be able to open it via a voice command as I approach in the event my and are full and I can't manipulate my phone/key card.

All good. I'm sure a solution will be available even if it doesn't work that way upon release.
I can do most everything from my watch but I am sure you can do voice if you want.

Not really. The comparison is vs the F150 and saying the build doesn’t have space for a bigger frunk. There is slightly less space than the Ford, but the main reason the lighting is way bigger is because of missing features and nothing to stick in there. Kinda like how OG Model S had a huge frunk. It didn’t have a front motor and had smaller batteries.
