Perhaps people should just get a different perspective. Think of the frunk as an enhanced glove compartment. Compared to the glove compartment, the frunk on the CT is gonna be next level HUGE!

If people are temporarily trying to transport stuff, that goes in the lockable covered truck bed. If they want to store odds and ends to keep in the vehicle on a regular basis then the frunk is the place to put it. Try putting recovery rope, a tire repair kit, jumper cables for the ICE friends, tire chains, etc. Stuff you only use once in a while but would really miss if you hadn't kept it in the vehicle for those odd moments.
There will also probably be under seat storage space for smaller things. The Model Y has plenty.

Wish one of the storage areas could be 'cooled' as needed to keep my trips to the butcher and groceries less of a hurry on a hot day. I haven't tried tossing ice into my Model Y trunk, maybe that would do the trick.
This is something that I really appreciate about the gear tunnel on my R1T. The tunnel is accessible from the rear seats via access hatch, thus if we keep the cab cool, the tunnel also stays relatively cool as well. The frunk not at all, quite the opposite. The heat pump/compressor seems to actually heat up the frunk in the R1T, especially so while towing, I don't like putting food up there.. eeew!

interesting insight

conversely, the trim/insulation in the Lightning Frunk keeps things pretty temp stable in there, not being near/effected by the thermal gear it seems

Short costco to home trips is ok for food upfront, but towing 9k up this grade and the frunk is pretty darn warm..

Is that under the front seats in the Y?
Yep only under the front seats, but there's not that much. You can probably put around 10-12 soda cans under there without encroaching on the rear seat leg room. You can actually put you feet/legs well under the front seats when you sit in the back. There's a fair bit of space underneath them. There's also a large rear under truck storage, and some shllow storage behind the rear seats, that is useful for the charging cables and long things. (tripods etc)

I've changed my mind, you guys make good points: a fronk should be useful without a trunk. Changed my vote to join the majority :)

No golf bags? A good walk spoiled perspective?
Kinda like too much 'BAGGAGE' some days! Most days are a 'walk in the park'
The coming of CYBRTRK is anticipated by MILLIONS____Cake anyone? ;)

Here in Oz, we generally live without 'gun/ammo bags'
My life goes on without 'golf bags'
How about a tripod and a telescope, camera gear?
Walking sticks, parasol, daypack?
Chainsaw, prybar, recovery gear?
Icebox, picnic blanket...

It just seems an endless canvas for different days out.

And I always preferred my grandpa's canvas carrybag for goffing. Take only the clubs you need for that course, No heavy leather needed.
