This is the route to Michigan Technical Resource Park or American Center for Mobility. Basically the same route. If I had to guess, the next extended stop will be somewhere west of Indianapolis. Get your measuring tapes ready!

A steel ball bearing and phone camera for the backseat picture too!

And an airtag. we will do a community fundraiser to recoup the cost of the airtag and if you post it on twitter (X) then Elon can't sue you so you have our full support.

yeah, no - that's a hydraulic brake line in that location

the good news is we can still hunt for the location of a accessory compressor line!
Does anyone know if you are allowed to tap an accessory line off of a vehicles primary suspension system? I am sort of doubtful that would be allowed, but i could be wrong. Other than an image of a guy installing an air tank there has been no indication that there willl be a compressed air accessory port. I will remain hopeful.

That's definitely an airline for the tires
That is in the wrong location for the tire airline. That is clearly going to the back of a brake caliper exactly where one would expect a brake line to enter a brake caliper. Hub air inflation systems have a line very close to the main axle, which the line in discussion is not.

NB on I55 is totally consistent with Ohio still (you zip from 40E up instead to 44E
Ok Ohio is still in play. Routing from Giga Texas through the Steele weigh station to East Liberty or MI, we should still see it going through Indianapolis.

57N to 70E is the route we should see them on now. Once it get through Indianapolis, we are looking for 70E to Ohio or 69N to Michigan.

If these were after the test, I would be concerned and most probably cancel my reservation.
The airbags didn't activate and the frame is intact. That means that the occupants were exposed to excessive energy. Just think about being in a steel box and crashing against a wall! Bang Dead!!
So, these were not tested, probably they will be somewhere in the next days.

If these units were crash tested…. Would the air bags not be deployed and hanging from the steering and dash?
Ding Ding Ding - you’re a winner! If no dummy in the seat, sensor would deny airbag deployment. I dont know anything about vehicle testing, it there a purpose in testing for damage to the vehicle without considering damage to the occupants? If one seat is occupied wouldn’t 4 seats be tested. And what about that video teaser we saw months ago where CT was rigged for crash testing but never hit the wall? Wasn’t that crash testing? I too find it very odd, front end covered, side areas show damage, no airbag deployment.

Folks - these could just be on the way to crash testing

OR, as mentioned above - you all keep assuming without justification that they're on the way to what in your minds is "BIG" crash testing

Again, there are low speed bumper crash tests that are performed at equiv of 2.5mph and 5.0mph

those tests are not for determining occupant safety, they're for determining whether minor accidents result in unnecessarily large repair costs

that said, since we know these just left GFTX, i assume they are on the WAY to crash testing, not RETURNING from it

the masks up front COULD be only hiding various crash-test markings that are used during the tests

that said, Tesla has its own crash test facility that is NOT in Ohio

These are “sanctioned release photos”, and back seat still isn’t cleared yet by a the overlords. I wonder if there is going to be a special treat back there. What could it be? Hammock?
Infrared sauna and cold plunge pool.

I know I am often negative about some of the CT changes that seem to have stuck, but I definitely am liking the simplicity of the braking and suspension system. I do 99% of my own auto maintenance and repair so standard equipment and procedures are great for me as a non mechanic DIYer. Also, very importantly, the CT is supposed to take people to the far reaches of the earth. You want to be able to pull into a shop in Podunk (no offense) if you experience a mechanical issue and have them be able to fix it without finding a specialized tesla shop with experience in specialized suspension or braking components. Simplicity is often correlated to durability and fixability. That's the CT I envisioned and in that regard I think Tesla nailed it. Also, if you watch Munros evaluation of that CT suspension on the I-280 he mentions the bleeder on the airbags that would provide the promised adaptive air suspension. I will say though that with how simple it is, I think Elon way over hyped that one, which is interesting. The suspension looks pretty standard and not necessarily a Baja machine. Maybe they will offer an offroad option.
Agree with this sentiment. Unfortunately all the talk of things like steering by wire and braking by wire doesn’t sound inspiring in terms of simplicity and field repairability.
