Just for s#!ts n' giggles — what would y'all think of an 8-piece (4 pcs. per side) rubberized door protector set that would adhere to the door panels, visually breaking up the expansive stainless steel sides of the CT?

Btw, the "protection" would not be for the doors so much as for whatever it is the doors might make contact with! ?

I love the new look. The more stretched look is a great improvement.

Is that a fingerprint?! Typical Tesla build quality ?

Also, this picture is a "tell me you don't even truck without saying it" masterpiece. I bet it can't haul

And of course it's going to cost no less than $100K. :)

In honor of the boss, they aligned the tire and hubcap on the rear wheel.
but not the front! ?

things is, even if they align it, I understand it’s not uncommon for the tire to later slip on the wheel

but on these RCs, unlike the Beta, they appear to now be using these new double-ring attachments which should allow simply popping the hubcap off and back on aligned without having to reseat the tire

Might be able to guess on its height but not the length. I really wish the photographers would take better shots perpendicular to the CT using a 50mm lens (full-frame 35mm camera so 1:1) so we could get a better idea of the actual size. It would be better if Tesla would finally release specs.

for what it’s worth, no one has ever said it would be in production by September/October

in April, Musk suggested a delivery event “in Q3” - but “delivery events” historically did not involve saleable production units, they were essentially advanced RCs to insiders with special agreements

and in the past, it has been as much as 4 months between such deliveries and the first saleable production unit rolling off the line

The timeline may be more of the problem because they are trying to hit a disruptive pricing target. It looks like unresolved manufacturing challenges will extend waiting.

Lol. They were in production hell with the 3 and it supposedly almost ended Tesla. Yet , they still managed to sell a $35k version. I'm actually in the opposite camp then you and think there's no way they sell one for over $90k

I don't know what's worse. That extraneous chunk of glued-on plastic cluttering the majestic austerity of the beast while slowly aging to look like all the rest of the junky cladding uglifying so many otherwise OK-looking vehicles I see. Or, the fact that I kind of like it....
