Y'all are missing the main point of the powered frunk lid, which is to synchronize opening and closing during the annual Christmas software release light show..
Best use of powered lid ever.

Then again it might be impressive to rehearse and perform the fully synchronised manual equivalent.

I think it’s probably powered to avoid the need to slam it shut with those deadly corners of the trunk lid. Otherwise would make a great guillotine in a pinch.

I do not think that you really want an unpowered frunk lid with this thing. It is not going to be any fun at all to open and close.
It's a WORK truck. You open it with a hand crank that your cordless power drill/driver can attach to.....

The important thing about not having a powered frunk is that you’ll get fingerprints or even worse, handprints on that pristine stainless.
That will be too much for some folks to stand
[edit due to automistake correcting Frunk to Drunk ]

Glad to hear the frunk is most likely powered.

I hope the same goes for the tailgate. The button in the rear with the downward pointing arrow has me concerned.

My Lightning powered frunk struts are about double the size of the CT pics. I assumed they were assist and not powered. Can anybody with a powered frunk verify size.
the CT doesn’t have visible struts like the lightning - only the hinge is visible

if you have a lightning, unclear which you’re asking to be measured?

The CT mechanism has been described, by someone in the know, as “magic” ?

Here is the CT pic I was referring to. Clearly a damping or support lift strut. Nothing on the driver‘s side. Not sure how it would open unless there was something pushing from inside the truck under the dash to open. I saw nothing during the Munro CT dual motor frunk closeup. Pretty sure he would have said something if there was any indication of power opening.

Yeah, we wouldn’t want to crease that stainless steel.

eyes are playing tricks on you

that’s the darkened/showdowed edge of the hood

no strut there, and one in that place wouldn’t do anything if it was

Like comments above, if it was powered then I could press a button or just get it started with a gentle push and it would close, like the Honda minivan by son bought in 2018

Yes, if the vehicle is hooked to a battery, that’s exactly what you’ll do

And when it’s not hooked to a battery, you’ll look like the guy in the video
