I notice what looks like a Neutral button… is this common across the stalkless Teslas? Or, does Cybertruck have a true neutral mode for flat towing? ?
No Teslas can be flat towed, because it will destroy the motors. It may be possible if the CT includes a clutch on each motor to disengage it from the wheels, but color me skeptical.

Does anyone else feel they have gone over the top with the rectangle and triangle scheme? Just seems clunky and outdated.

Tesla's can be towed when powered up and a "driver" to monitor. This is not different than coasting down a 10,000 foot mountain pass. Not that Tesla recommends it, because it takes a small amount of power to stay in "electronic neutral" and bad things happen if you tow it until the battery is flat. The motor is still spinning and the motor must be slightly powered to counteract the magnets in the permanent magnet motor. I think Tesla with only A/C motors and no magnets tow with less power drain. You can also flat tow with regen braking to charge the battery. Again, this should not be done without a driver monitoring it. And towing is dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.

I imagine Tesla could create a flat-towing mode that would drag just enough to not discharge the battery but it's probably not high on their list of things to do this early in the adoption of EV's. People tend to do dumb stuff when towing.

Folks have elsewhere pointed out the frunk’s interior open/close button

note the UI’s tailgate button, re-confirming (for those somehow still dubious), that the tailgate is just a lowering-assisted gate, not motorized

also, this is a late (eg 800-series) MC, tri-motor … of which there are only a few

and this one appears to be out in California

either Tesla has recently relaxed its rules around the drivers allowing photos of the interior/UI, the driver didn’t know this was happening (left the truck unlocked and powered up?), or Tesla’s info sec will have a pretty easy time determining who is on the naughty list

It may be just “neutral” since there is no stalk, they need a button for it. What I was hoping it was is an electronic drive disconnect so the CT could be town flat (four wheels down) behind an RV.

I had to put my M3P on a flatbed trailer behind my RV which is a real pain…
An electric motor, especially ones with permanent magnets, can become a generator when rotated (towed). That generator voltage is higher at higher speeds and can wreck havoc to the motor drive electronics or be in regen. braking. The reason one should not tow EV’s at any speed except to position them on truck beds.

Aside: that disengagement is available on Rivian's new drivetrain for one set of wheels so it can be pulled on tow dolly (ie. behind an RV). Sandy Munro and RJ discussed it in a YT video.
