I've said many times, there will be eough people paying regardless and Tesla knows it very well. The problem is, Tesla is not to be Ferrari, not Porsche, not lamborghini; it's supposed to be the EV disrupter replacing Toyota, selling tens of millions of corolla, Camry and 4runner vehicles. That's what would make it the new leader. It's the mass buyers, who buy corolla, Camry, 4runner vehicles, to make Tesla really successful. Those Ferrari, Porsche, lamborghini or Hummer EV buyers who as individuals having way fatter wallets than the mass, are irreleveant in the long run business wise. From this perspective, Tesla indeed failed yesterday.
I believe Elon knows and he is in his demon mood as we speak. Not a word about price or range.

The whole Tesla spec page avoids mentioning single, dual or tri motor. The reason is simple:
to confuse new buyers; to make it vague; and basically saying, just stop comparing apple to apple! Just stop it please!

Many people haven't even realized it yet but It's a serious setback for its business strategies, let alone its "Mission Statement".

have you gone new truck shopping lately? your 18 year old truck experience doesn't translate to the present.

Wrong and wrong.
First, now you are comparing. That's the point.
Secondly, after you are comparing, it's not looking good.

there's not much else out there, and the CT is the superior vehicle by specs, competitively priced.

the spec page for motors is pretty clear; and yes it follows the mission statement. modern trucks aren't cheap and this is cost competitive.

you're comparing the beast mode as the competition to a 70k Rivian? don't spin the numbers.... the dual motor is the model to compare and it beats the Rivian handily.

Now that you claim the Spec page is " pretty clear". Point out where does it mention the word "Motor", please.
Also claims it's cost competive. Please compare cost per mile of range, which is the most "cost competive" index, please.

seems clear to me... maybe I'm more familiar with the terminology? the dual cost per mile is superior to the Rivian when you're comparing the similar priced product. anyways, I get your miffed..... I originally had the tri motor reservation and now I'll have to get the Dual. glass half full?

The original pricing was a joke when Elon stated that it would be the toughest truck for working people.

What working person needs to drive a truck 0-60 under 3 seconds?

It was his fantasy to build a Delorean/ lotus type truck irregardless of the cost.

Now those poor suckers who have been waiting 4 years for this fantasy truck are left high and dry.

The only people buying the truck will be those with more money than they know what to do with to show off on the streets of LA and NY.

As Jim Cramer predicted he will sell less than 50 k units.

"Seems clear to me" is not an answer, it too weak to be of any intelligent value.
When you make a statemet, dumb or not, just list one or two supporting evidence. It's called logical reasoning and that's how civilizations move. We aren't in the dark ages anymore.

I stated that the spec page avoids mentioning single, dual or tri motor and provided a theory for that. The 3-motor tier structure is the core business offering for CT since the begining. The whole pricing and range specs are all based on this structure.

Don't you think removing it completely, not a single word of it, from the most important Tesla Official Spec page, is a bit strange?
Where I come from, we call this the ancient technique of pivoting the conversation, changing the dialogue, or simple "BS" will do.

You stated that " the spec page for motors is pretty clear ".
But the "motor" is not even in the spec page, is it?
If it is pretty clear, where is the word "motor" ?
