Kuat Bike Hitch Rack installed photos + mountain bike fully fit laying down in bed

Not mine but saw this setup posted. Thought it might be helpful for owners who need to transfer bikes.

This is the Kuat Piston Pro X Hitch Bike Rack with LED Tail Lights.

License plate remains visible, but the bike does partially block rear view camera.

Also, for anyone wondering, the owner was able to fit a mountain bike laying down fully in the bed -- it's a 29er Hardtail Large

Yikes on that decision for the single low rear camera as well for a rear view mirror.
Wish they'd put on high that could work for multiple reasons [watch bed if open due to taller things (2' even at tailgate area)]. Other trucks have that angle: GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Silverado, Ford F150, and Rivian ... as far as I know.

I bought the bed divider. Might try to rig up wheel chocks on the Mole mounts for my turbo levo to ride in the bed. Prob have to angle the rear wheel as it’s long.

It is brutal on my TMX ... easily adds like 100-125 kW. Obviously different shape of air flow but suspect the 'tail' will be disturbed.

Can't wait to have my swing out spare tire and bike mount. Will be able to open tailgate without having to remove everything. poor designs for these bike mounts.

The bike rack has integrated brake/turn signal lights that work with the 4 Pin connector.

I normally ride with friends which is why the 4 bike extender for that rack is on my shopping list at the moment. I guess I should start shopping for a rack that holds a single bike so I don’t look like a loser when riding solo.
