Hello all! I'm based in the DFW area of Texas and finally got my first call with Tesla on the power share install.

Long story short, it seems they've "gotten away from 3rd party contractors and are now doing it inhouse" which I found kind of odd, but the price I was quoted was $3500 for the install. And that it was the "standard rate moving forward unless major changes are needed".

So seems they're going with a fixed install rate for Texas? I'm not 100% sure this is true yet, but that's what I was told on the phone ? will update as I move forward.

I’m in the RGV down here in south Texas and just got my quote… $3,768. Could go higher if there are unexpected elements. ??‍♂

Yeah doesn't seem toooo bad. But curious how much I'll use it to it's full extent. Will be good for ice storms I guess.

I live in the SF Bay Area and seeing your Texas based quotes makes me feel a lot better, because it cost me $3,350.

Honestly CA quotes I've been seeing have been pretty reasonable, the cheapest actually.

Someone did get a like $8k+ quote though somewhere on here ?

Same “in-house, $3500 install” or $700 Tesla shop voucher call I received.

I’m located in Dallas/Ft. Worth.

Had mine installed 3 weeks ago just outside of DFW and it was $3,500. They had to trench communication wire about 150 feet and took 2 days to install.

I got a quote north of $8k, but that includes new electrical service all the way back to the pole!

I’m in College Station Texas and Faraday Electric contacted me and wanted pictures. I submitted the pictures and are currently waiting on the quote. I was told that it would be anywhere from $1800-$4000 but still waiting on the quote.

I already have a Tesla wall connector with a 60 amp circuit and a six gauge wire. So hopefully that reduces my price. The six gauge wire is probably about 70 feet long from one corner of my house to the opposite corner where the fuse box is, that originally cost me $700 to get 14-50 outlets installed in my garage.

They said they would replace my Tesla wall connector with the universal Tesla connector.

Here’s hoping that mine is less than $3500.

i’m not really sure how much this will benefit me since I could just set up a generator switch in my fuse box by myself and then just manually switch over to my Cybertruck through the 14–50 connection.

I wonder why “the rest of us” only are provided 6/12mo of superchargering when we don’t qualify for the power share location.

If you got the cyber beast, you should also get offered a $1400 shop credit or $700 if you got the all-wheel-drive like I did.

if the install is too much, I think I’m just gonna go with the shop credit of $700 and buy the universal connector and then just set up a generator switch in my fuse box and manually switch over to my cyber truck if I need so.

Am also in the DFW area and yesterday got the text to set up an appointment for someone to come to our house and look at the install needs. They coming in 3 weeks. DFWBrad did they come to your house yet?

Ah that's quite the reach! Guess I can see that, still pricey xD

Yeah if you can do it yoursealf, and it's less than $3500 definitely seems like a route to take. I just had the generic charger for my model S and sold it with it, so going to probably give this a go.

3500 here. Or…

How do you even know if you qualify or not? I had no discussion with anyone about this. I just found out I had free
Supercharging by charging it.
