I ordered on on Jan 7th and was emailed a notification that it shipped on the 8th. But no tracking number.
Has anyone received their cap yet? I'm eagerly awaiting.

I received mine today, after a weather delay. But I cannot locate any installation instructions.

Pop off the old cover with a flathead screwdriver. Remove 4 screws on inside of tailgate. Put new piece on put in supplied screws
Thanks. Where do the washers go?
And you remove the backing on the pressure sensitive adhesive?

Washers go between cover and bed…to fill gap. The cover has beveled holes to ensure beveled Allen bolts center it up correctly. Took me like 5min max to install. Love it.

Am I the only one wondering at a price tag? I get it, its a replacement part for $100K+ truck but $250 for peace of metal bent in 4 places and powder coated? I can understand that number for custom order but for "mass produced" product? It's not like you guys had to build factory with all new equipment you need to amortize over 30 years
I'll wait for China to pick it up
It is custom ordered in a sense — how many are going to get these? And of course it will be easier for copiers to steal and make it for cheaper with cheap labor. Why not get one and support the company for coming out with something other than another storage box.

Why does every set of service instructions start with opening the driver's door and putting down the window? Is that like an indication to other people in the shop that the truck is being worked on, or does it signal something to the truck itself, like don't adjust the air suspension without having to turn on jack mode?

I'm pretty sure it is case the if the service you are doing affects the low (mid) voltage system and locks you out. You can reach through the open window to unlock the doors from the inside.
