I just drove to Tahoe from the South Bay, the whole way on FSD... it did absolutely incredible. The only issue i had was with the random 1 mile passing lanes and people trying to fly by, the truck really seemed to have trouble gauging those cars before the lane ended. Other than that, it performed remarkably.

Fyi: i am running
v12 (2024.45.25.15 2409d648f093)

Let's say FSD is $99 per month for only another year....you've then paid $1,188...or realistically probably closer to $891....then Tesla doubles FSD sub to $199 and you keep the car for 5 years....assuming there are no more free trials (there will be), you would pay

Yeah, i just copied and pasted the wrong line from the app. ?

In speaking with a Tesla rep during a recent service center visit, I learned that FSD can be bought at any time after purchasing a Cybertruck. With an $8k price tag, it definitely adds lot to the final price of the vehicle. How often do you use FSD? 1-10, mostly never to every time you drive.

Autopilot seems to work just fine for the use case of keeping one's lane and reducing driving fatigue on the highway. Wondering what the community's thoughts were.

Since v13, I'm probably at 8 or 9. 90% of the time, only taking over in parking lots or complicated situations. Though I do "help" with the accelerator pedal a fair amount.

Part of my FSD usage might be fascination with the fact that it works at all, and the fun I have rooting for it.

That said, I'm getting to the point where I think I might trust it more than my old eyes at night on our dark country roads.

I also take it over a very narrow, somewhat intimidating, bridge each day and it does better than most drivers at staying centered in the lane there.
Ditto. There are a few streches I don't use it due to winter pot holes, but 90+% of the time, I use it. Especially great on long distance trips.

i have been using it everyday. 95% of the time. Just had a road trip from Dallas Texas to key west of Florida - all by FSD. I almost made no “help” except when I was very tired. You do have to watch during certain moments. It is becoming a better driver.

I would advise that you do it gradually and get to know its weaknesses. I found that I must watch when it makes a right turn (a lot of time too slow for the coming vehicle), and it is not “nice” at a traffic light in allowing side vehicles to pass etc. it may be “unkind”.

overall it is fun and very helpful.
Enjoy!

9 - I’m a distracted and aggressive driver. I know FSD is a better driver than me, unless I’m in a high stakes situation. But when I’m eating an ice cream sundae with two hands it can’t be beat. When I’m looking for music or podcasts I can do it without worry. I can do two things at the same time, but I can’t drive, navigate, and talk at the same time. FSD was made for me. I can do any of the above and intervene if necessary.

I use FSD 99.9% of the time. No exaggeration, usually I turn it off turning into a parking lot or for a Beast accel, that’s it.

I am a bit confused by your first question. We all have many accounts associated with hardware and software. Examples: cell phones, ISPs, cable TV, even appliances. So that is not an issue.
yeah, but all those things you named have ongoing expenses that require subscriptions to cover the cost. FSD is an extremely expensive program to create and sustain, I'm actually shocked it's only $100 a month.

Same for me. Give it a 9 and 90% use. Hardly touch the wheel anymore. Hands on thighs with eyes down on he road. Overall very pleased. Biggest issue is doesn’t always follow Navigation or navigation not right.

I use it at least 95% of the time. So that would be at least 10,000 miles for me

FSD is addictive. I use FSD on all drives possible since 12.5. Still have to take over in parking lots, because FSD is not connected to Auto Park yet.

People who have experienced FSD 12.5 or later in my truck do not understand how other brands are able to still sell dumb cars. The product leap is very decisive.

Pretty much drives me every where I go. Since this last update I hop in, enter coordinates, press begin and it pulls out of my garage makes a left and down the driveway onto the street and off we go!!! Pretty much amazing ?. My only concern is it takes left turns sharper than I like and comes super close to the cars making a left hand turn that are forward of the turning lane. I’m hoping the next update will address this.

My Cybertruck has 78% FSD (673 miles out of 863) on since December.
My Model 3 has 64% FSD (789 out of 1233 miles) on since December.

I won't have a vehicle without it.

this x1000. I use FSD probably 15% of the time, and in 2-5min bursts at that. Because the potholes are god awful up here in the northeast. And I drive a little more aggressively than FSD, so I only use it when I’m in a situation to relax a little.
