Demo of Rivians upstreamrivians have them on the new gen 2's and I love them
What does 'approved eventually' mean? Various cars in the USA are already doing it.Porsche offers matrix headlights as a $3,000 option but then tells you the ability to adjust the light beam to traffic is not activated as here in the states this feature is not approved like it is in Europe. The story is Porsche might be able to do a software update if this function is approved eventually.
Heads up - general - Whenever you ask LLMs questions you should include ... and show your sources. That way you can verify where the info came from eg. some offhand reddit remark or X/twitter post vs more official and research places.I asked Groc
does the cybertruck have matrix headlights
Yes, the Tesla Cybertruck is equipped with matrix headlights. These advanced LED headlights are designed to provide enhanced illumination and are capable of adapting to various driving conditions. While the Cybertruck has the hardware for matrix headlights, the full adaptive functionality—such as dynamically adjusting the beam pattern to avoid blinding other drivers or illuminating curves—is being rolled out gradually. Recent statements from Tesla’s VP of Vehicle Engineering, Lars Moravy, indicate that adaptive matrix headlights are coming to the Cybertruck soon, with software updates expected to enable these features in North America in the near future. For now, the headlights function as standard LEDs with some basic capabilities, but their full potential is still being unlocked through ongoing software enhancements.

What are adaptive matrix headlights
@dLuxAllegedly...
AI Overview
Yes, the Tesla Cybertruck has the hardware for matrix headlights, which are adaptive headlights that dim individual pixels. The feature is expected to be enabled for all Tesla models soon
I don't get it. Are you sure you wanted to address it to me?@dLux
AI knows less than a poster reading all the posts and doesn't know how to tell fact from fiction. And it wouldn't be able to know which Tesla poster was being truthful or in the know on Twitter. It also wouldn't be able to tell your reposting of its quotes from someone else who was authoritative. So in effect, you're making it more confident in its output whether or not its true.
Please, for the love of sanity, AI doesn't have secret knowledge.

Yeah, I just pinged you for using grok, not for your other, excellent posts ^-^I don't get it. Are you sure you wanted to address it to me?
I started the thread to let you guys know that Lars confirmed the matrix headlights for the Cybertruck (harware only, software likely coming later).
If you are referring to my Grok3 post, I posted it to counter other AI related responses, where the AI was "not sure". Feel free to check out the reasoning in the link and where Grok took these informations. Other IAs may not have found these informations, so they may have a different conclusion.
The facts are in the first post, I believe Lars. ?
I agree the cyber has matrix lights. The beam and light pattern are exact to my friends new Model S with the matrix lights. Even how they go from high to low beam light pattern is identical.I don't get it. Are you sure you wanted to address it to me?
