I purchased $7,000 FSD from my 2019 reservation with no issues.
Interesting, have heard of several people not being able to do that, how did you accomplish that?

They did honor the $7k FSD for early reservation holders. I honestly didn't expect them to honor it this long after the truck became available a while ago.
How did you get them to honor that?

The price was showing that it was still locked in from my reservation. I just placed the order using my reservation with the discounted FSD price.

I bought the truck December 2024 and bought a ton of stock when it was still around $400. Then came the tax credit which I missed, now the 1.99 apr, and the stock down 50% on top of it lol. Eh. Still the best truck ever and gladly holding for a decade at the minimum. Everyone who’s been wanting one and now is afraid because of all the nonsense hate, take advantage and buy the truck, I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

The $7,000 FSD price was part of my original reservation from 2019. I remember at the time it said something like by choosing to purchase FSD you are locking in the price. If you didn't pick FSD purchase option at the time of reservation you weren't guaranteed the $7,000 price.

The price for FSD when I configured my order, was 7K-With some type note I believe about it honoring reservation price. That was the price that was shown, nothing special was done.

I ended up lucking out and being able to transfer FSD from my 2020 Model 3, I ordered my AWD in the beginning of October.

...the Models S/X currently include a free paid option with FSD purchase, which is in effect a discount on FSD.

However, 2024 and 2025 non-Foundation Cybertrucks don't come with FSD. If you buy one of those, and you already bought FSD for your old Tesla, you will not get FSD on your new non-Foundation CT, unless (1) you pay Tesla for FSD again, or (2) Tesla brings back FSD transfer.
I spoke with the sales manager at my local Tesla service center. I told him, same as Model S/X current promotion, I would be happy to buy FSD and a Cybertruck today if I got one free upgrade: either Core to Cyber wheels (my choice), or Gray to White interior.

I also said if I could transfer FSD from my current 2023 Model Y to a Cybertruck, he would have a sale. He was gracious and indicated he would submit my "request" as feedback on sales promotions.

Might happen before end of 2025Q1, maybe before end of 2025Q2, maybe not at all, given the 1.99% financing promotion and how good FSD is getting.

And...the Cybertent looks pretty nice set up on a Cybertruck in the showroom!

Nice try. And if your local Tesla store was operated under the traditional "dealership" model, then hey, maybe they would have cut you a deal in order to get the sale. Dealers don't have to follow the "Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price" (MSRP); it is only "Suggested". They can drop the price if they need sales (or jack up the price if a model is popular).

Of course, Tesla stores operate under the "direct to consumer" model -- they are controlled by Tesla HQ, without a dealer as "middleman". At a Tesla store, the price is whatever HQ says it is, and the sales manager probably has no authority to cut any deals with you. All he can do is report your offer to HQ, and he may not actually expect to hear back.

Tesla has added an expiration date to the 1.99% APR offer for the Cybertruck. Now you have to take delivery by March 31.

The 0% APR offer on the Model 3 also requires delivery by March 31.

Presumably Tesla is trying to boost quarterly delivery numbers for 1Q 2025, which ends on March 31.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Obviously, some end-of-quarter carrots are used. Will they help March 2025 is a question.

Since we had a recall number you could compare monthly estimates to it (45.5K to 46.0K) and see if you were 'close'.

The Cox estimate for Cybertruck sales from January 2024 through February 2025 (45,464) seems reasonably close to the number affected by the recall (46,096). But also, note that the recall affects CTs produced as early as November 13, 2023. I would assume that only a small number of CTs -- maybe a few hundred -- were actually delivered in 2023. But if you included the 2023 deliveries, the estimated sales would be even closer to the recall number.

According to the Cox data, sales fell from 3Q 2024 to 4Q 2024 -- even though there was a $20,000 price drop in 4Q 2024 due to the introduction of non-Foundation CTs. And it looks like sales may have fallen again from 4Q 2024 to 1Q 2025 -- even though there was effectively a $7,500 price drop in 1Q 2025 as the federal tax credit took effect. Those don't seem like favorable signs for future demand.

Still a ton on lots several on here were adamant that a few of us were clueless when we said demand had hit a wall 5-6 months ago. I wonder if they are mature enough to admit their mistake? By the tone of their posts I doubt it. Personally I like the truck a lot and I want to support Elon, but I’m hesitant. Still on the fence see what happens.

It’s an amazing truck but all the bad press and stories of crazies probably dampening sales further

I live in central NJ (blue state for sure) and have had vast majority positive feedback (one middle finger though)
