some channels are saying that model Y production will be slowed due to starting up the robotaxis. I would think CTs will not be affected.

As of 4Q 2024, Tesla indicated to investors that installed Cybertruck production capacity was >125,000 per year, which is more than 31,000 per quarter.

In 4Q 2024, Tesla sold an estimated 12,991 Cybertrucks. So CT production was only around 42% of the installed quarterly capacity.

So there should not be a problem. In theory, Tesla could reduce Cybertruck production capacity by half, shift those resources to Cybercab production, and there would still be enough remaining Cybertruck capacity to meet demand.

Of course, this might not be true if demand has risen since 4Q 2024. However, there are currently still 2024 CTs in Tesla inventory, and Tesla is offering incentives on CTs like 1.99% financing, discounts, and free Supercharging. Realistically, these don't seem like signs of high demand. We will find out more next month, when estimates of 1Q 2025 sales become available.

As anti-Musk movement going on now, I don’t expect CT sales increase. Even some of our current CT owners are afraid to drive it out.
