Completely agree, especially when towing. The towing range is embarrassingly dismal. The problem is it is not consistent.
If you assume 300 miles or 4 hours is the bladder test, it doesn't hold up to the 60min test when towing a trailer. Which is fine if there is a battery pack you can add.
Just all the towing marketing does not match up with the bladder logic with taking the pack away.

For me I never envisioned towing with my CT - however, many, many do and that is one of the compelling reasons to have a cargo hauling capable vehicle.
Installing 500 mile range of battery - would allow perhaps in the 'high 200' miles of towing - which might be acceptable?
I laugh when I see all these new 'battery' technologies touting 600 miles, or 1,000 miles of range. The manufactures would simply not put that many of the new batteries, they'd put less and make money.
I suppose then the ONE CT option would be a 500/600 mile range model 'for towing'. I wonder if there is a market for a 'battery'd trailer' that would extend the range of your EV?.
