I agree . A lot of debris especially tree seeds can jam it up . I have had this problem on my other car near the window wipers . It needs to be flush . So I will definitely go for it even if I have to do the diy afterwards .

I'm sure there's a post about it somewhere. Can someone point me to a thread dealing with clearing the water stains that result from the water dripping down the back of the cab in the bed?

I picked up my CT on delivery day and was like WTF can we get that cleaned please and the delivery tech said it's impossible and I had to take it like that.

I wiped mine down w/ some Meguiar's Hyper Dressing. If you have hard water stains, then use a water/vinegar mixture or use an off the shelf hard water stain remover that's safe for plastic.

I mentioned to SC the new aero cover with the new seal and the fact I have unusual amount of water coming in. I got the below when I got it back. I need to see if I at least got the new aero. I still have a pretty good leak. Two SC trips ago I did have the gap. Gap fixed but now I have more slats and bars than I need and still leaks.

Yes, but according to the service manual, the bar should be higher so as not to be in the middle of the window. It still blocks the window though (not that it really matters)

I see no bar with the cover open or closed.

So the big thing is to make your service center fix the water, the VAULT should not be wet, put in a ticket and make them add the extra slat and weatherstripping as it is NOT in spec.
You will be fighting those stains and wet cargo forever, make sure they have the parts in stock before you drop the vehicle off for service, but make them fix the water leak.

There's a new sail with a seal that is supposed to get swapped I think. I didn't get it. I still have my original sail with some sloppy glued gray foam. I need to get this fixed. Maybe third time is a charm at the SC.

Back in February, I asked about the new sail with the improved rubber seal but my SC wasn't aware of it at all. I showed them the picture that was posted on these forums but he said he'd never heard about it and there's nothing in the system. Maybe it's finally available to everyone?

I have a small leak by the rear window but it's not really bad, and really only when I go through the auto car wash. If it bothers me, I'll just apply the rubber seal myself (like in that guy's YT video).

Let us know if you have any luck, a "vault" that gets water in it is just a poorly sealed box, need these things waterproof, especially as these are now the premium version not the soft covers.

After 5-1/2 mos. of wait for parts, my SC finally got ‘em and replaced the slat. Good work too, can hardly tell they did work on the cover. Before and after pics attached.

That looks 100% better, did you have leaking issues prior to the fix?
How did you get the SC to actually fix it and not say "in spec"?

Can you get a pic of the interior of the vault with it closed, to see if you have the bar blocking the rear window?
I’m just curious…

Just put a link to the service manual that shows how and when to add the extra slat.
