Review: Fittipaldi FT100 18" wheel on 35x12.5s

I was looking at the Martian beadlocks because they have a +40 offset and stock is +56. I'm probably getting the Kenda Klever MT2 35x12.5x18s.
I wasn't sure how far out I wanted to push the tires.

I'm unsure what the offset threshold is to fit the 35x12.5r18s with no rubbing. But I do know the stock offset will rub on 35x12.5r20s. I thought stock offset was +58, might have remembered that wrong.

But, yes! No issues at all on +18s. +40 will, naturally, be much closer to rubbing than +18, but I don't know what that limit is for the specific tire size. There are calculators online that might give you a close, educated guess. I also know that the stock fitment is already VERY close to rubbing at full lock. Hope that helps

I agree! They're very much my style ?

I haven't decided on a wrap or color, so I went with plain black, but the dual color ones are very nice in person.

We've got three truck outfitters in town that hold Fittipaldi wheels. I'm really hoping they have these FT100s that I can look at. They just look SOOO GOOD! The price per wheel isn't bad either!

I have this concern (probably stupid) that with low air pressure and a hard acceleration the torque could pop the bead.

This is an off-road wheel by Fittipaldi:

• load rating of 3700 lbs
• 18"
• 9" width
• 18mm offset
• Lug centric

Extreme terrain (x/t) maxgrip tires:

• 35"x12.5"
• 3 ply reinforced

$588 per wheel+tire, shipped, balanced, including lugs.

Requires NO modifications.

Road noise is marginally higher than stock ATs, but only slightly. Nothing like MTs.

Efficiency hasn't significantly changed at 50psi.

Ride quality is much better! It's a softer feel on 18" wheels with the extra side wall, can also comfortably air down to 25psi going slow off-road with the extra side wall!

I do low to mid 20s on 18" wheels. On the 20" wheels I was nervous to go below 30, no room to flex ??.

Airing down is NOT for speed or torque situations--with situation exceptions like bead locks in sand. It's for slow and steady, typically with trail assist on to control torque. I always stay in overland mode when aired down. If you're thinking Baja mode, it's probably not a good idea to air down very low on a standard bead.

I've only ever popped a bead by turning the wheel when the tire is stuck, not with torque. But I've also not driven the CT off-road as much as ICE vehicles

Yeah, same. I've primarily run Toyotas soo.... Torque not really a concern LoL

I've only done a few decent obstacles and its done really well but I've got that concern with a lug on that rock and goosing it. The tire saying "LATER!"
