Tonneau cover gap issue fixed by Service Center under warranty

Nothing is sticking out where the glass roof meets cause you have that “channel” / gap where the seal will fit in. If you do decide to seal the ends though you will have seal sticking out cause the ends do not have that channel. You can see in the pic where I ended the additional seal. Maybe one of these days when I’m bored I’ll take it apart again and extend the seal all the way to the ends just to see if I can get away with it tucking it neatly so it’s seamless and not so obvious.

Ah that looks way better than I had imagined in my mind. You measured and cut the weatherstripping to be the length of the glass. Very nice.

Guess it really is hit or miss on the fit on every production.

Thanks, I just put in my request and am awaiting “assessment “ for leakage repair and also cosmetic cleaning of white streaks on the front panel of the bed. Noticed the streaks when I picked it up but was told it was surface oxidation that could easily be cleaned. I tried with water and a rag with no improvement, hoping they can suggest a more effective cleaning solution.

Still have the leak despite the new slat placement . The leak is definitely not within spec . I advised them about this as well . So will advise them again

Took mine in for leaking and the gap. They took care of the leaking by replacing an appliqué seal, but didn’t take care of the gap. Tonneau doesn’t leak though. <knocks on wood> If it continues to not leak, I’m not going to bother with the gap.

Do you have a detailed job from tesla . local service center hasnt heard about the new applique seal .They replaced the slat but still leaks .

Just got mine back from the SC today and they added the one slat. I’ll have to check if I have the rubber gasket between the last two slats. Thanks for the pics.

Yes, it is. All rubber gaskets are there between the slats.

Yes I have the same problem as shown in the video.Exact same place . Have you asked the SC about this ?
