The new truck smell has been long gone, and now it's time to make its smell fresh again.

I'm curious if anyone has found a Cybertruck-specific air freshener. I'm looking for something discreet, doesn't take up a cup holder spot, and isn't ridiculously priced.

Bonus question: What's your favorite scent for the truck?

I actually think the Teslas seem to keep their ā€˜smell’ for the longest of time… similar to my Audi and my BMW..

The thing about odors is that you will smell what is present…in the car.. if you don’t smell the natural (new) car smell, then there is something else in the car which is overpowering it.. give the seats, cup holders, floors and storages a good wipe/wash.

this is the sole reason why o don’t keep ā€˜a lot of stuuf’ in my car.. everything in the car will impact the ā€˜smell’… EVERYTHING

I've been using drift for a few weeks now. First one lasted close to a month (got significantly less strong after about a week and a half though). Just put in my 2nd one today. They've got a bunch of different scents and have new scent of the month each month. I also appreciate how the stone ones blend in well with the colors of the interior. I believe one of them (either stone or wood I can't remember which) preforms better I just can't remember which one was supposed to be stronger/last longer. Maybe a little pricy at $16 vs the cheap little trees and similar hanger style air fresheners but it's a clean look and performs well imo.

Do yourself a huge favor and buy a discreet essential oil diffuser, and buy a sample set of manly smells.

This fits perfectly below the rear screen bezel where the air vents are. Be careful not to scratch your trim though.

And this sample set to get you started. Pro tip: soak both ends of the wick, but don't completely saturate it throughout the whole length. 2/3 or less is perfect. You can also combine oils by soaking one on each end.

You're welcome. You will get compliments. Thank me later.

I second drift I have been using it 1.5 months I wanna play with other oils and try to recharge it myself. I have gotten many compliments from the grove scent. The drift can be found on Amazon or your local target.

don’t try to order from main website it’s a mess and looks like drift was bought out or acquired by scentbird (the monthly cologne/parfume subscription service).

drift uses a small but decently strong magnet that clips on Cybertruck visor perfectly. And refills you just rip open pouch and reattach to magnet.

initially smell is very strong but dissipates to a very comfortable smell.

you can do stone or wood in experimenting now to see if stone or wood will hold scent better and longer.

I use two stone fresheners (one on each visor). Replaced once a month when the subscription package arrives. I love them. Been doing that for over a year. Also use them in the model x.
Stone definitely lasts longer

How long have you been doing the subscription? And is it through Amazon or the drift website? I’m still giving these a trial run but love the smell and ease of install/placement.

About a year. Straight from drift is much better. I only use Amazon when I want to supplement with a particular smell. Otherwise I have the variety subscription which is mostly hit but occasional miss (read…fig tree).
Valets, car wash guys, car guests etc pretty much always comment on the smell. It’s truly great and they dont want to get out of the car. I myself am very picky about smell and hate most car air fresheners but not these.
Customer service is good. if one arrives broken or doesn’t arrive, they just ship you new ones, no questions asked. Shipping is a little slow but it doesn’t matter once you’re in a pattern. Only for the initial order and if you want to add something. They occasionally give you access to the scent ā€œvaultā€ so you can repeat a scent you liked from earlier in the year. The scents are somewhat seasonal too. As in, spring appropriate, summer scents, holiday scents etc. For the most part they are good.
Again, shipping is slow. That is why I occasionally use Amazon if I just want a particular scent fast. Prime delivery time estimates are religiously stuck to no matter who has to poop in a bag and get their pay docked to get your stuff to you.?
So, yes, they are a little spendy especially if you use two (4 for both cars) like I do but to me, absolutely worth it.
As for the reasoning for two, they smell strong for two or so days but then last the entire month. One fades too fast for me.
Definitely go for the stone over the wood

very well said, I’m sure I can go to the site but they like to hide fees but just curious how much is your subscription? And have you tested both wood and stone? Did you notice a difference in how long the scent would last.

I also considered using the site to see if the scents hold longer as maybe they are ā€œfresherā€ and not sitting in a warehouse for months on a pallet.

The subscription is easiest to manage on Shop. Completely transparent and no fees. You just set it up on the drift website initially.
I pay $24.96 for two .
I suspect the sitting around/freshness thing doesn’t make a difference because of the hermetically sealed foil bag, but I could be wrong on that. In my experience stone lasts MUCH longer than wood.

Ok I’m gonna look into that. Might wanna remove tracking number unless you don’t care about people knowing your city and state. ?

Thank you. Didn’t realize that’s what those numbers meant. Lol
Guess I can’t now though because it’s in your quote.

Grab these. Turn on AC and one quick shot in the footwell cleans the air and leaves that new car smell again. Any more than a quick spritz is honestly overkill. Works awesome.
