Posted my service ticket earlier in this thread. V1
Thanks for the feedback. I see you are coming up on having it for 2 months at the end of next week from your earlier post. I hope you have no attachment fail issues in the future. Please update us if you do.

And now I have a V3! They took my V2 off due to damage to the wiring.

Thanks for sharing this with us averyk12. I hope you have a good and "secure" experience with version V3. Were you able to see or learn what difference(s) there may be for Tesla changing the part # from V2 to V3.

My unversioned light bar from May just got reattached. They used the same one and just glued it down again. I know this because I left the black tape on and it was still there and still dirty…they did hook it up this time though.

Well after 13 months on the 9th I finally got the Lightbar install. I was postponed twice due to the absence of the new primer/adhesive. I purposely delayed the third appointment to ensure the sc was confident of the application process. The latest recommendation pursuant to a SC text was a two day service to allow the primer to fully cure/bond.The text specifically recommended no highway driving for 24hrs. Today picked her up. Everthing was hooked up and did the sofware start-up in the lot. To all it’s the same light bar from the start except the wires now are push connectors. No new design as confirmed by one of the techs. Application now abuts with the backside of the windshield seal (see pic). I blew 150lbs of pressure from a compressor along the front fascia to simulate high speed driving. All seems to be holding good. I was given a loaner (X) and the vehicle was washed prior to my pickup. Up to this point my experience was none eventful.

Mine was scheduled to be installed today but when I went to drop off they didn’t have a loaner to give me so had cancel.
They really need to offer an alternative like free lifetime supercharging or money back. Needless to say I was extremely annoyed.

My light bar is scheduled for 1 September 25. Here is the parts list, note the “V3” for the light bar.

Well, got my light bar installed as scheduled. I made sure there were no highway speeds the first 24 hours as recommended. It held up on a round trip of 1500 miles to Chicago at highway speeds up to 90 (short passing) and cruising @70.
Looks solid to me, I tried pressing on top and there was no movement.
Not to happy about the exposed wire (first pix) on the pax side but it is blocked enough by the light bar. Alignment is good with the roofline. (Pix 2 & 3)

You might open the appliqué to determine if you have some slack with the wires. I opened mine and there is about 1” inch play. I am surprised they left that tag wrapped around the wire.

Just keeping others updated.

Had a light bar install setup for 10.16 so in the morning, and they just messaged me saying Tesla put a hold on installs.
