Has anyone seen this? We have a '15 S85D and a '23 MYLR that charge just fine on the charger I bought with the S. When I plug the CT in, the port immediately lights up red and there are errors on the screen about the charging hardware. I can use both mobile chargers (S and CT), but I'm only getting 2 miles/hr of charge. I have opened a service request with Tesla but wanted to see if this was widespread or isolated.

I have a Gen 1 (I think) from 2017 that would charge my Model S at 72 amps (the good old days), and it charges the Cybertruck, no problem. Ordered a new, Universal one just for Powershare though. I already have a Gen 3 as well, but it's a stretch to get it there...

It's probably a little bit of current leakage (like a mild ground fault or something) in your home's electrical system and the Cybertruck has a more sensitive threshold set to detect such faults. These kinds of faults are common, it's just a matter of degree in terms of when it's unacceptable.

How hard is a leakage like that to detect?

Thanks to Tesla, I have resolved the issue. The Gen 1 HPWC has dip switch settings to indicate the size of the breaker it is connected to. I have a 100A circuit installed (for my Model S 85D that has dual chargers that would allow it to charge up to 80A) and the dip switches were set for 100A. Per Tesla, I dropped the setting down to a 90A breaker dip switch config and the CT now charges.

I was about to to go test mine out to give you feedback, because I'm in the same boat. We have a Gen 1 on a 100 amp from when my wife has a 2016 X with dual chargers. I've only been charging my CT from a 14-50 I used to use for my S, while my wife's X is primarily on the HPWC.

Be careful removing the cover, I sliced a few of my fingers on it trying to pry it open.

What amperage are you getting from the HPWC? Is that limited by the truck current max, or are you getting the 72A/80A 90A/100A max from the HPWC?

The original HPWC is controlled by the vehicle, limited by the dip switches. We left the dip switches set to the 100A setting and get 80A for the dual-charger 2013 Model S and 48A on the CT.

This is what I was hoping for, but I had to drop my dip switch down to 90A to get the HPWC to charge the CT at all and I'm only getting about 24A of charging (which I know is lower than expected). I plan on replacing the HPWC with the latest generation soon.

Oh you have me worried now: I have a Gen1 signature edition that I charge the MY LR on currently. We need to move stuff out of the third bay to park the MY there so the CB can go in the garage. We have been charing it on a Gen 2 HPWC that we have installed outside in the meantime. Which consequently I think has a faulty breaker as the 60amp breaker trips whenever we try to charge the truck at 48amps, I have it scaled back to 30 amps in the truck currently.
Hopefully my Gen 1 works fine and we dont have issues ?
