My 2026 ventilated seats work great.

Another thing is losing the active noise canceling means the 60K version will be louder.

On one hand I'm glad the Cybertruck will live on. On the other hand, this will boost sales a lot and make them much more common...
1.ANC on Teslas make no measurable difference.
2. They havent enabled it on any CT yet.

I ordered the $79k Cybertruck on 2/5, VIN was assigned on 2/7, and delivery is scheduled for 3/6.

Now Tesla just announced the $59k AWD version (no air suspension), and I’m honestly hesitating. I’m currently leased at $1,190/month with $3,000 down, and the new one would be about $980/month with the same down payment.

It’s basically a $210/month difference for air suspension and whatever else comes with the higher trim.

I’m close to delivery and not sure if I should stick with my order or switch. What would you do in this situation?

It all depends on your individual needs. For me, I'm ok with the lack of the "premium" add-ons as I don't see them as a necessity. Again, that is my case as I own other vehicles I use in between. With that being said, I voluntarily forfeited my order fee for the AWD and got in line for this new, lower cost model. The online configutor wasn't giving me the option to modify my order and switch to this newer version.

Sometimes I hate Tesla. Just give us more info. Not just some short answer that leaves everything in limbo…and creates more confusion!

Maybe that is a way to drive traffic on X?? But as consumer, it is frustrating!

They should have done this SO long ago. Is it too late at this point? I don't know how many people really want a Cybertruck anymore these days.

From start to finish, they should make a case study on Tesla/Cybertruck. How not to run a car company/launch a product. What a fail from start to finish.

You do realize that the value of your current CTs dropped like 10-15k overnight? and that there will barely be any sales the next months until this, really great deal, version is coming online?
Did Tesla remove all the extra features last night? 🤣

Agreed it is a great deal.

I think most people with premium wouldn't want all the downgrades:
  • No air suspension
  • No second row screen (huge if you ever have backseat passengers and take long trips, or kids)
  • No ventilated seats
  • Lacking bed features particularly the vault
  • Lacking interior power outlets
  • Smaller wheels
  • Poorer audio
Not to mention all the incentives they had when ordering last year (discounts/0%, supercharging, tax credit).

I don't tow or carry heavy things now, but planning on keeping this for 15+ years and who knows what I'll want to do with over all that time.

So even if the premium lost 10-15k value, the only people that might care is if they were going to sell in the next couple years.

For me, I really like the air suspension, pleather seats, cooled front/heated rear, upgraded stereo and my kids are in love with the rear screen. I wouldn’t want to give up those features. No question this new model is a better deal though; I don’t think the combined value of the upgrades is $20k. Even worse argument for the Beast at $40k. It just matters how much you care about the extra stuff or the extra cash. I’d go with the stuff, but the cash is probably more sensible.
