Over the past few weeks, I have ran over some stuff on the highway! Debris and construction zones are just horrible around here.

What am I looking at here in terms of damage?

I was planning on getting the Terrestrial Armor package anyways. This may accelerate my plan.

Yup, exactly why I got the armor package with my 2026. American roads are only getting worse.

That is the rear skid plate, $585 and 0.18 hours to replace.
Older versions get replaced when the Terrestrial Armor package is installed.

It would have prevented this due to continuous overlapping pieces versus the rear skip plate on its own with leading edge over the pack and in the air stream.

Do you have video from when it happened?

I would be filing a claim with the insurance company of the construction company for failing to keep the roadway clear of debris.

For the older folks. In the 1960s, the Chevrolets Corvair was designed to sit pretty low to the ground but this was soon found to be a death sentence if ya drove over a cattle guard or railroad crossing that was a smidge to high. The car undercarriage or motor near the rear of the car would snag and stop the vehicle instantly, and without seat belts, the occupants found themselves through the dashboard or windshield before they knew what had happened.

Good. They only make one version of the armor now. They gave me a new skid plate when I got mine installed because my truck is a 10/2024 build.

This is why I bought the terrestrial armor, debris sometimes just appears too late to avoid and battery cooling systems are vulnerable being lowest to the the road. I tore the sh*t out of my Pacifica rear wheel well and trim when a nearby car kicked a road gator into my path. I was lucky I didn't lose brake lines. Helpless feeling.

Aftermarket running boards? The armor package include rock slider rocker covers which would attach where running boards do.

It is listed separately on the part's store and the rockers appear to use the same mounting holes. There isn't a service procedure for it though.

How much did it cost you to get it fixed? Or you just simply bought a Terrestrial Armor package out of pocket, or SC replaced it as a warranted item?
