I had a 2024 AWD with a lot of issues. All issues reported on this forum I experienced.

After 9 months of ownership and 12 service center visits I decided to trade it in for a 2025 AWD.

The 2025 had the charge port ECU changed out after 3 months of ownership besides that no other issues to report.

I'd say if you can get an even trade, do it. The newer vehicles from my experience are better and you reset your warranty.

My trade in was close to even as it can be. Huge improvement over 1 year from Tesla.

Mine also charges at half speed on level 2 chargers and I do have an appointment for next week but not sure if they'll do anything. They try to tell me it's the wall connector, but it isn't (my other tesla's charge just fine). Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll just change the PCS during my appointment and then I'll keep the truck.
It's the PCS.

On my service request, they automatically added 'PCS2 Replacement' as another line item after the entry I made about my truck charging at 24/24.

My service is scheduled for 03/06. I can still supercharge at least.

This is great info. I have a service appointment for next week for some other various things. I did also add that it charges at half speed but they didn't add PCS replacement to mine. I will reach out to them to try and get it on there. If I can get it swapped, my worry is no more :)

Okay. I am a new cybertruck owner of model 2026. Received it on Feb 3rd 2026. This is my first Tesla too. So I wasn’t aware of this issue. So looks like all CT owners are going to face this issue ? So even in the newer model 2026, they haven’t fixed it ?

You are in a much better position. The warranty changed for this part and others for your model year. Likely to be solved by expiration

Agree with Outdoors, you probably don’t need to worry with the 2026 model. That was my entire conundrum.

good news though, my service center just messaged me saying they are planning on swapping the PCS since it’s charging at half rate on level 2 charging. I suppose that’s best case scenario vs being stranded somewhere

I mean I guess I hope it is solved. I am not sure one can make a fool proof anything. None of us know the actual issue, and none of us know the actual failure rate.

If you end up paying for a PCS, request the old parts! A simple teardown might reveal a fried component.
Have any CyberBeasts had this issue? Has any Cyberbeast owner had this replaced?

I was considering the same idea. They have offered me a $67,700 trade in on my 2024 AWD. But then this past Sunday my PCS failed. Scheduled to be fixed next Tuesday, so I guess I'm going to hold on to it, until I have a really compelling reason to replace it.
How many miles did you have?

I keep wondering about what might trip it… did you use the truck bed outlets frequently? A guy in the Reddit forum told me his went while using his welder on the bed outlet. I’ve only pushed the higher amp outlet when plugging my camper into it.
