For me, it's getting the PCS2 replaced before the warranty is up. I am also lucky if the home charging fails; I am about a 1-mile away from a supercharger.
Same exact thinking here. I want my PCS replaced before warranty too.
And I also live about 3 miles from a supercharger. No biggie for me

Just joined the PCS failure club. Where is my hat?

At approx 39,400, truck decided not to charge at home.

  1. Appointment in 11 days
  2. Supercharging fees waived

anything else I should ask Tesla to check while I am here?

thanks!

there was no votes for hats only merit badges, and it looks like your behind on your club dues also, don’t forget to book a nice vacation somewhere far away with that free supercharging. 🤪.

They will check all the other components and should validate it can level 2 charge when there done with the repair.

Thanks @UberNoob . Please send the bill for my dues to SpaceX. They are doing well with their IPO.

I think we should get leather jackets like the “greasers” in the movie. we can call ourselves the superchargers as that is where we will spend our time.

I wonder if they will fix my PCS early, or if I will still have to wait to mid August. Need to get it towed in because I got the rear axle steering disabled (RSA_a211), power reduced (DI_a062), and a couple others with the 'drive at your own risk' alerts this morning

I suspect that this is rising to recall level and we won’t need to worry about warranty timing.

That would be great! Although I’m not too optimistic. I feel like they would have done so already…right?

Yes.

It is, indeed, just a matter of time. There's a reason the PCS2 issue is the longest and most persistent topic among Cybertruck owners.

My number came up yesterday morning, while bumping my usual charge level for a couple-hundred mile trip to visit family. No indication at all either in the normal vehicle user interface or in the smartphone app. But the sudden reduction in charging from 32-amps to 24-amps was the dead giveaway. A quick walk out to the truck and a trip into Service Mode confirmed it.

I bailed on my favorite vehicle and took the Model 3 instead.

This morning, going into the app to schedule what I figured would be a quite-awhile wait for a service appointment, I find that I've already been given free Supercharging (so apparently the Cybertruck is self-reporting PCS2 failures back to the mother ship).

The more interesting thing is that I already had a minor service already scheduled for nine days from now (replace HEPA filter and windshield wiper). The PCS2 replacement was already added to that appointment. If they do, in fact, effect the PCS repair during that visit it would suggest that PCS2 parts availability is finally easing.

I'll believe it when (if) it happens.

EDIT: 2024 AWD Foundation Series, 19xxx VIN, 12-D version PCS, 23,077 miles.

I’m gonna say that it’s more likely there hasn’t been another failure where your at and the SC has it on the shelf or their delayed order of 5 is scheduled to come just before your appointment and they earmarked the extra one for you. Something along those lines anyway. I hadn’t seen any slowdown of posts here or on X that failures are slowing.
