FD Beast 15K miles 19Vin got my first PCS failure- started with typical AC not charging schedule service. Service center was very nice but said part would be a month or more for rev G- Got a loaner just curious if anyone else had similar delay in parts?

Yes, same situation. I got an appointment on April 17th. They are telling me they don’t know when the parts will be available and that 9 Cybertrucks are ahead of me for the parts.

Wow that's crazy. That old PCS is junk then. Hopefully this revision G is more reliable.

Oh crap. Mine is in last week and they extended it saying they are waiting for the part. 97 miles left…

what happens if the miles hit zero? I’ve never let that happen, though I have had a couple of road trips down to 10 miles left!

What happens is you document it so theres proof it happened while in Teslas custody and care. Make it explicit to service that you would like to prevent this from occurring, and that you would NEVER let this occur if the car was in your custody due to the potential for damage due to discharge not covered by warranty. They have ways to prevent this from occurring and if they fail to do so and there is damage to the 48v battery or other low voltage components that result in failure down the road, you can point to this event if it does reach 0.

I recommend you message your concerns to the SC in the app. Ask if disconnecting the high voltage battery pack will preserve the state of charge and protect battery health…
They may also have a procedure to charge it independent from the internal PCS…

My 2024 Foundation has been with Tesla since for two weeks. Was supposed to be done today but was told parts are unavailable. They extended the pick up week by another week. So I may be without for a total of 3-4 weeks and I dropped off 2 weeks ago. I’m sure there are trucks in front of mine and many behind on the list. Anyone having an issue now may not be getting parts for over a month. Loaners may be hard to get depending on service locations. Some busier than others. I’m in Connecticut. Luckily I got a loaner 2 weeks ago, but with the backlog, I feel bad for people with brand new issues.

Tesla needs to put some resources and attention into this, the number of PCS that are failing is starting to snowball and lack of parts are going to create a huge backlog of Cybertrucks that are dead and sitting at service.
This truck does NOT need another bad press event for the truck and the brand/stock, and this would be the worst one for the CT by far.

I'm babying mine at 16 amps so I hopefully don't have the issue until the parts situation is under control.

I took mine in after testing with supercharger which didn’t work. I got a cybertruck loaner, dirty, tire worn a lot for having only 12k miles. I just got it washed because, I like it shiny.
I asked the question about going to zero while parked at their location and they wasn’t concerned. They told me they will charge it after they replace the parts which they specified could be a very long time (weeks I think). Anyways I will put mileage on the loaner so not worried too much.

Really starting to wonder if this is somehow related to an update- strange to see so many having issues now all of a sudden.
Was at a Tesla SC for my light bar this past week. No charging issues yet but my senior advisor has a feeling you’re right. He has no proof but the Columbus Ohio Tesla SC are getting more vehicles in daily.

You can be sure that they are. Seems widely known within their service organization, causing much havoc.
Probably designed by Tesla Engineering but produced by an outside supplier. Fault could be either or both

In my case, I got the "unable to charge" notice on March 31. Scheduled service two weeks out in the app; but was afraid phantom drain would not allow me to make the 100 mile trip, so I notified my service center I would be there on April 1! They were very accomodating and gave me a loaner (that smelled like cigarettes, unfortunately), and no hope for a quick repair.
April 3, I got a message that it was fixed and I could pick it up the day after Easter. So it was a 6-day turnaround!
