Super annoying that the Tesla chargers were decommissioned and replaced with Applegreen chargers in the Biden Travel center on 95. They are more expensive and slow. It’s basically a tax. Greedy states are putting these into get higher revenue sharing.

They say the are 400KW, but I never broke 100 and I was the only vehicle charging.

Slower and more expansive is a lose/lose.

Very fitting that that anything with the name Biden is slower and less useful.

That was my first time not using a Tesla charger. It’s just annoying to now have to get off the highway and go to a Tesla charger. Having chargers at the rest stops In the middle of the highway was super convenient. I will never use it again.

They ripped out the Tesla Superchargers on I-95 in NJ last year and replaced them with Applegreen chargers with fake NACS handles - they were CCS with a NACS adapter that doesn't clear the Cybertruck fender just screwed on. Needless to say, I now plan my routes and charging to never charge on I-95 and can always map a route with plenty of Superchargers.

I plan to travel through that area. When using nav in the CT; does the Applegreen chargers show verses the Tesla superchargers?

Bummer. Saw my first AppleGreen rest stop at the Kennebunk, Maine rest stop on I95. My family has been stopping there for almost 60yrs for gas, and now supercharging. It's the busiest rest stop in the state, due to its convenience.

Very bummed to see the contract has been given to AppleGreen. What was a very nice rest stop is already starting to look cheap under AppleGreen management. The Starbucks is gone, and that area has been replaced by Self-checkout kiosks. Fewer humans to pay. Look at that chintzy AppleGreen sign! The apple looks more like an olive.

The Tesla superchargers are still there, but I wonder for how long? Probably until their contract comes up for renewal.

Stopped for the bathroom. Didn't notice the chargers. Why are 3rd party chargers always so big and look like crap? They always seem to have problems too.

did you need an adapter to charge here, or did they fix the problem that exists in NJ with applegreen? we have to use A2Z adapters here.

and I totally get what you mean about Biden. He never supported EVs, and was actively against EV infrastructure. The OBBB is going to fix all that. Any thing that you heard different about the OBBB removing tax credits for EVs or funding for EV infrastructure is Fake News.
