Also be aware your AC bed outlets will likely fail also - it has been reported here as function provided by the PCS.
That's how I found out about my failure. Using them and suddenly they turned off.

+1 for me over the weekend. It started a few days after getting it back from service for the lightbar recall (and my lightbar had water pooling inside of it), and a couple months after getting my ECU replaced because it died, and then a while ago getting my battery pack replaced because it stopped charging.

They said they can get me in mid-August for the PCS failure. Going to be asking them to buy it back and see how that goes

Yeah, that's a lot of problems with one truck.

2.5 months to be without a vehicle is tough, hope they treat you right with a good buyback or decent resolution.

I’m planning to have Tesla proactively replace mine once they are in stock. I charge at home (AC) 99% of the time. Of that, I’d guesstimate 50-70% of my charging is around 24a or less because I use Charge in Solar. When I need to charge quickly, I do charge at 48a, but only to 50%, then Charge on Solar takes over.

Mine is a November 2024 build.

They won't do that. If you can still charge at 48 amps they will not replace it.

Well, that’s not quite accurate. As I mentioned before my failure was somewhat unusual because it only threw up an error a couple of times but with the exception of one day my truck actually charged at 48A continuously. They can no do remote diagnostics and confirm that there’s a PCS issue (and that’s what happened in my case).

It feels like my failure mode was unusual, but like ChatGPT would say: “the cleaner answer is” they won’t do it if there’s nothing wrong with your PCS prophylactically; however, there is now a way for them to diagnose your system remotely and you may have a replacement even if you still can charge at 48A.

I'm ecstatic that I can still charge at 24A (albeit slowly).

Does anyone know if that fails too at some point? Or will I be good until parts are available (i.e. in a few months)?

24 amps one of the first signs of failure, you might get a year, a month, a week, a day.
they’ll replace upon any reduction and service logs

Yup, my failure mirrors yours. I've thrown a few PCS errors and one day I had a weird 5-6A charging issue that went away with a power off. Still able to charge at 48A and use the outlets, for now. Hopefully it limps along until my August appt without me having to rely solely upon SC.

Well, I guess we now know that Luke had (will have?) a Cybertruck somewhere there on Tatooine. 🤣
