I've been a member of about a dozen automotive forums, starting in 1999 with VWVortex. Before that, I was chatting on Newsgroups, for those of you who have been around the internet for a while.

Not to get too sentimental here, but the "$59k Owner’s Group", and the folks in this thread have been amazing. The comradery, sharing of perspectives, advice from previous CT owners, and encouragement to keep our sanity while waiting, has exceeded my expectations.

What’s clear to me is we all 2 things in common, we all agree the Cybertruck is an amazing vehicle and we know an amazing deal when we see one!

Playing around with ChatGPT this morning I had it pull some stats from the forum. While I don’t have access to the raw data like a forum admin may, this is pretty impressive regardless. This thread appears to be the #3 most replied and viewed thread of all time!

Hopefully someone at Tesla will take note and the “SAWD” will get the love it deserves.

Since Tesla doesn't do a great job with publishing specifications or distinguishing what is missing on the SAWD vs the PAWD, I added a sheet to the tracker to help. Here is a screenshot. If I missed anything, let us know.

@Davelv , I appologize, we must have missed you in the tracker. Can you confirm your order details?

State: WA
Order Date: 2/23
Order #: RN.... (you can leave out the last 3 if you wish)
Last known delivery dates: 9/30/26-12/9/26
RN127170xxx

Delivery date - Originally Sept-Oct per website, then after order per app Assist 9/30-12/9, then 2027, then Cannot access individual order information. Copilot claims this is because my order will be a 2027 model for which no deliveries have been scheduled.

Re differences, no rear heated seats in dual motor. It does have Off Road mode per Tesla website comparison:

You have thrown me back in time with VW Vortex. I had a 2006 GTI and loved the plaid seats in that thing. I can’t believe 20 years has flown by so fast! What a fun car! Great group of folks here helping each other. Cybertruck owners need to stick together. We’re the only ones that understand the beauty of this beast.

This is my basic cyber truck next 10 days delivery . but I don’t see floor carpet inside, Elon musk is so cheap
You think Elon Musk is cheap? I don't understand people who think like this, considering he's trying to get the price point of the Cybertruck down to a level that more people can afford. Don't forget, considering it's clad in thick, tough and very expensive cold-rolled 300 series stainless steel alloy with boosted chromium levels for additional corrosion resistance so it never needs paint or other coatings. It comes standard with 35" tires, premium active dampers that adjust for conditions, premium sound system (even if they did remove a few speakers to get the price down), advanced steer-by-wire system with unsurpassed maneuverability, a tough composite bed that needs no bedliner, an electric tonneau cover strong enough for a workman to walk on (and that disappears at the touch of a button), motorized hood, two electric motors with crazy torque and performance, front and rear mechanical lockers for off-road capability and slippery hill-climbing ability, and Tesla's industry leading UI and software.

I probably left out some goodies too, but this is the kind of stuff that most vehicles don't even have (and if they do, you're going to pay through the nose to get it included).

And you think Elon is cheap for figuring that owners can source their preferred mud mats cost-effectively when they have the money or their partner isn't counting? The features listed above are anything but cheap. Considering the quality and the price-point, I would say Elon is insanely generous! Maybe your cup is just half-full?

Tesla has not been providing floor mats on their low-cost or entry versions of many of their vehicles for a while. While it's still not cheap, the $59k SAWD is an entry version. Most end up buying better, all-season mats anyway.

I think you forgot FSD. One of the best things about Teslas (and the only system on the market with this level of capability).

FSD is why I got into Teslas in the first place and don't see myself driving anything else.

Last minute jitters, and I definitely don’t want to start a new thread, but here’s the discussion we keep having in my household.

Long story shorty, I didn’t expect the truck to be here so quickly. Therefore, I purchased another vehicle earlier this year , 1/2 ton truck (RAM) and honestly love it. I didn’t expect to like it so much. Plenty of power, extremely comfortable and a ton of storage. Honestly more comfortable than the CT. I will have to take a small hit on it, which I’m not a fan of.

I guess I’m asking to help convince me this is the right move lol. I have 5 hours to make my final decision.

I tried playing with the numbers but the lowest offered rate is 6.53%. As someone previously said, Tesla probably figured the peasant CT buyers will likely need to finance their purchase, and it’s an easy way to squeeze out every penny from the buyers.
Huh? Even "peasant CT buyers" can finance through their own bank or credit union. Tesla has no particular leverage over how you finance your purchase. Do you think new truck buyers are ignorant of the basics?

I have escaped the budget sucking vampire prison of gasoline and oil changes every 5k miles. God speed.
