I haven't had any negative reactions from teens and only one from an (apparently) early twenties person.

I've had a number of young folk pull up next to me or otherwise go out of their way to smile/wave/thumbs-up, including a couple of guys on motorcycles.

The only negative reaction was from a young lady working near the front of a Whole Foods store who saw me pull in the truck, I guess. When I got to her counter she asked me, "Is that your car?" and then said, "You know it's gonna get all rusted. I have a friend in California and his is all rusted." I wasted a few seconds trying to explain that it wouldn't rust, but iron-bearing contaminants on the surface might oxidize, look like rust, but be easier to remove, but she wasn't deterred. The FUD was strong in that one.

I just smiled and gave her that all-purpose, multiple-meaning Southern phrase, "Bless your little heart", which she knew meant - in that moment - "You're an idiot."

I'm not concerned with what teenagers think. Their brains are still forming.
There seems to be some concept of how dangerous the Cybertruck is because during some of the accidents, the crumble zones didn't work.

The problem is that some people think that the trucks crumble zone was supposed to crumble to protect the other vehicles. A definite lack of knowledge on how they are supposed to work.

A technically knowledgeable review of the accidents would show that they do work correctly. The other car's engine broke way and slid under the car, protecting its inhabitants. And the Cybertruck's spread the impact across the entire vehicle.

But I've probably had 3-4 negative reactions and thousands of positive ones.

Seriously, you are condemning an entire generation because they hurt your feelings by commenting or gesturing about your truck.

Haven't met a teen yet that didn't like it.

Did have a young girl flip me off. Don't often meet people that do that. Then at the next light. A car full of girls all screamed we love your truck. I said the girl behind just gave me the finger. They had some choice words for the one finger salute girl.

They aren't haters, they are just jealous. Owning a new $50,000 vehicle is probably far outside of their dreams. The Cybertruck just flaunts it.
You've got a point there. Jealousy definitely seems to be a factor in some of these reactions.

Just the other day, I caught a couple with their hands pressed against my Cybertruck's windows at a destination charger. As I approached, the man quickly backed away, muttering, "All he had to do was make a decent truck, but he went all out to make this shit."

What struck me, though, was his wife's reaction. Even as he ushered her away, she kept her hands on the window, exclaiming "WOW!" before he abruptly led her back to their Ford F-150 Lightning.

It was a moment that perfectly encapsulated the mixed reactions the Cybertruck seems to evoke. On one hand, you have those who feel challenged, perhaps even threatened, by its bold design. But on the other, you have those who can't help but be captivated by its sheer audacity.

I think it's a testament to the Cybertruck's ability to push boundaries and challenge conventions. It's not just a truck - it's a statement. And while that may ruffle some feathers, it's also what makes it so compelling.

So, let the haters hate and the jealous gawk. We'll keep driving our Cybertrucks, knowing that we're not just embracing a vehicle, but a vision of what's possible when you dare to be different.

If any other truck owner gives me shit, I'm gonna ask "How do you even see out the windshield with those tiny little wipers?"

But you've gotta love those little kids. They all seem to know about the Cybertruck and get so excited whenever they spot one. Just the other day, after I parked, a car pulled up right next to me. The woman inside rolled down her window and apologized, saying, "I'm sorry, I hope you don't mind. My son saw your Cybertruck at the intersection and insisted we come up to see it up close."

As soon as she finished her sentence, I heard a chorus of excited shouts emanating from the backseat of her car. "Cybertruck, Cybertruck!" the kids chanted in unison, their enthusiasm palpable.

Without hesitation, I invited them all to hop inside and check it out. The looks on their faces as they clambered into the Cybertruck were priceless – pure, unadulterated joy and wonder.

It's moments like these that really warm my heart. It seems that every kid under the age of 7 not only knows about the Cybertruck but absolutely adores it. Their excitement is contagious, and it reminds me of my own childlike sense of wonder and appreciation for innovation.

In a world where the Cybertruck can evoke such polarizing reactions from adults, it's refreshing to see the unbridled enthusiasm of children. They haven't yet developed the biases or preconceptions that can color our perceptions as we grow older. Instead, they see the Cybertruck for what it is – a marvel of engineering and a bold vision of the future.

Seeing their joy and sharing in their excitement makes me feel like I'm one of them at heart. It's a reminder to never lose that sense of childlike wonder, to always be open to new ideas and possibilities.

So, here's to the kids who can't contain their excitement when they see a Cybertruck. May we all strive to keep that spirit of wonder and appreciation alive within ourselves.

They hate free speech. They loved Elon until he bought Twitter.

CyberTruck = Elon = X = Free Speech
This is a stretch -- a very very very long one I can't even see the end of it.

Ok by this (il)logic, fellow CT owners, channeling our inner Elon, we are licensed to spew out crazy conspiracy theories and call those who are rescuing the Thai students as pedophiles -- in the name of course of free speech. :p
