Just received my order options, but don’t know which to buy, duel or tri motor. I am a road warrior but do enjoy playing in the snow and a little off-road. I would do more if I knew where to go. But please help me decide which I should buy.

You would enjoy both AWD or Beast. Likely not so much the RWD.

it’s comes down to if you have or do not have the money bags ?

The dual-motor Cybertruck will provide the best range and have obnoxious 0-60 times, beating everyone else in the parking lot.
With dual-motors, it's got twice the number of motors as any other off-road vehicles.

The tri-motor is just stupid speed. Speed that you won't see unless you are on the dragstrip.

I'll add, if you have to make a decision then AWD. Those who go for the Beast have to make no decision. (and have the extra $20k burning a hole)

My guess is the opinions you get will reflect whether the response comes from somebody with an AWD or Beast order. And there are a lot more AWD folks out there so expect a lot of responses telling you why you don’t really need or want a beast.

Dual motor will be delivered sooner… beasties are more rare… A friend of mine, Brian White of Futuraza summed it up by reminding me ‘Jeff you drive in chill mode 95% of the time, why would you buy the beast?’

So, if you wanna wait longer for something more unique and special or if you have an alcantara fetish (beast has Alcantara dash)… by all means get the some degrees cooler beastie! Good luck with either choice. I will envy you just a little until I am 10 miles from not needing one more charge stop to get home… when you will envy me. Cheers!

if you can swing the price and the longer wait for delivery the beast. If you want the truck asap order the dual motor. You might get a vin in under a couple weeks with the dual motor. The beast has people waiting from December still.

the dual motor is still plenty quick but the beast is next level acceleration.

I don’t REALLY off-road a lot. I drive fire roads mainly and a basic 4x4 will get me there. Some argue the locker in the dual motor is better than the torque vectoring in the cyber beast. Other
argue torque vectoring is better. Whatever the case for me they both are more then I need to get where I’m going.

My 2 cents... Not that anybody asked me. If you are like me in that you have waited over 4 years to own the fastest truck/most capable Tesla there is, and can afford it, get the Beast. Don't care about acceleration? Get the AWD. Resale isn't going to be a good reason to buy the Beast (or Foundation series...).

I originally ordered a Tri motor (in 2021) due to the longer range (If I recall correctly). Now that the dual has a little more range I selected Dual. I am too old for the "need for speed" and plan to travel with FSD everywhere so it will not need the extra speed. Plus even Elon said the best part is no part so 2 motors are better than 3 using that logic (yea I know many comments coming from that one lol). Either way you cannot go wrong. They are both awesome technological advancements on driving. Good luck and enjoy your new ride. Welcome to the family!

Dual motor if you have to ask. Tri is for people who already made up their mind. Tri-motor is not that useful really. I have a beast and I floored it 3 times. Each time I felt it’s way too fast then it needs to be. I wouldn’t mind a dual.

Rent a tri motor to play with and then decide, but I think if you are on the fence, a dual motor is a better value. Tri is over kill for daily usage.
