It occurs to me that 48v power is more susceptible to being affected by water, since the higher voltage has lower resistance and can traverse water more easily...

Just back from tinting my windows. Passenger front door continually opening. Going to leave it "cracked" over night in hopes that whatever moisture got where it should not go dries up and fixes the issue :-/

Did this work for you as well? I'm in the same situation.

Water is a conductor of electricity.

A unfortunate tourist in Mexico was recently electrocuted while using a hot tub. Saltwater is even more conductive than fresh water.

I am so pleased to read this thread. I posted last evening that after having the windows tinted yesterday my front passenger door would open slightly regardless of whether locked or not. I had to leave it unlocked and turn the alarm off. Today, the door will remain closed and I assume the excess water in the door frame has evaporated. The phantom door opening ghost must have moved on!

I had my tints for about a month now and did not experience any of these issues. I had all windows minus the moonroof

My local tinter denied my truck. He doesn’t tint Tesla’s because it’s a liability for him.

My local tinter had done a cybertruck before but still managed to get water in the overhead console where the hazard light button is and the passenger door. The hazard light issue was an easier fix since it comes off so easily. I just had to bring it inside low temp blow dry and it was fine. Here's how to remove for anyone that finds the thread:
Removing Cybertruck overhead console

With the passenger door, I did the same to the degree that I could but I left it cracked for several hours and now it's been closed for almost a day.

Yep that darn tint ghost! At least he seems to go away after drying off. Mine never did it again after that night.

Thanks for keeping us updated. Good to know there hasn't been a recurrence. I haven't driven mine yet but it's still closed.

Posted this in another thread. Happened to me after tinting, and they said there was a ton of water behind the panels and the panels would need to be replaced. Took a couple weeks to get the parts and 1000 bucks. I think they partially warranties it because he quoted each panel alone as 750 bucks. Mine was pretty bad on both doors, and caused windows to randomly roll down or up, and couldn’t control them from buttons.

A tint ghost for me too. Got windows tinted on second day of CB ownership yesterday and passenger door has cracked open on its own a few times. Hoping it dries out…

Looks like it dried out. I have not had any more ghost door openings! Interesting most of the reports here are primarily passenger side doors

this just happened to me today, it is been raining all day. I had my windows tinted few weeks ago and didn’t have any problems. However, today after coming home, I started to have this issue. At first I thought I left the door open, but it kept doing it. I’m assuming water got into the door since I had many stops during the day. Thanks to this thread, I left the doors unlocked, hopefully this would solve the problem.
