More amps = more current. There’s a thread on here says how fast it will charge on which type at what amps. Search topic “charge rate “ Each is different.

If using 30A outlet, you'll need an adapter. Mobile Connector only comes with 50A and standard.

30A (24A charging) will work pretty well. Mobile Connector maxes out at 32A.

Never a substitute for horsepower.

Install 60A line if you can. Everything less begins trade-offs in diminished capacity.

Less amps doesn't make it unusable, but I believe 60A maximizes your home charging options (mobile or wall).

Mobile maxes out on a 40A circuit (32A charging).
60A is peak performance for most Teslas (48A charging) and Powershare and is 20% faster than a 50A circuit (40A charging).
Wall Connector Dynamic Power allows use even if the panel utilization is questionable.

Per code, divide the Amps by 0.8 and select the next highest round 10 breaker available. For example, 11.5 kW/240 V is 47.91 Amps/0.8 = 59.89 so you need to land on a 60 Amp breaker.

The charger should have the capability to set to different Amps to accommodate the breaker size.

If you are not hard wiring your charger and are plugging in to an outlet, don't cheap out with big box store outlets. They aren't rated for continuous loads and can fail and cause fires. Check with your electrical supply house.

I currently use the Nema 10-30 overnight running at 22A instead of 24A and get about 12mi of charge per hour. Works well enough for me day to day.
Waiting until I move next year before getting the Wall Connector.

As I've posted in other Tesla forums, if you're going to use a mobile connector, DO NOT use a big box store Leviton 14-50 receptacle. They have issues with poor connections (due to how the wires attach) that can eventually lead to heat, melting or worse. Get a Hubbell or Bryant receptacle from Amazon; they are much higher quality than the $10-$15 Leviton receptacle...
