Tesla can’t think of everything. Maybe CT V2 will have a slight recessed cove in the tailgate for the vault molding to slide in to prevent this from happening.

I kept wondering why my bird feeders were emptying so quickly, so I installed a camera.

Maybe a cut piece of plywood that bolts to the holes for the racks will provide some protect against Racoons. Only use if you are camping and is pretty inexpensive

Raccoons tried to enter vault overnight while camping in Minnesota!

I have raccoons that I feed regularly; but their paws aren’t as large as yours! Are you sure you weren’t attacked by bigfoot?

That's one hell of a big raccoon, it looks more like you were attacked by an undisciplined gang of juvenile Sasquatch.
I agree. I have lots of racoons on my property and those are not racoons. looks more like bear cubs to me.

A bag of unopened chips in a closed storage box and some coffee.
That will do it!
Living in Colorado, critters are always willing participants in taking liberty with damaging property for some grub. ?

Racoons definitely get that large. They are as large as medium sized dogs down here in Florida (we have a 50lb dog who has gotten into tussles with ones bigger than her). They can be big things. Really cute until they break into your chicken coop at night and murder the sleeping chickens who don't wake up fast enough.

Racoons will lure a dog into swamps and drown them. They will get them in deeper water and just grab the head of the dog and hold on.

They are nasty and mean. I know some say they don't work in packs. In campgrounds they operate like Ocean's Eleven thieves.

I love animals. Yet I know the capabilities. They aren't all cuddly and small.

I was canoeing/back packing in the Boundary Waters Wilderness area of Minnesota several years ago when early in the morning a bear raided our campsite and carried off my backpack. We were on a small island a long way from shore so didn't put our packs up high in a tree. I found my pack a few hundred yards away with one of the side pockets ripped open by the bear to get a piece of Switzer's licorice that my friend left there. All the other food in the pack was wrapped in double Ziplock bags and completely untouched.

Those paw prints are awfully large compared to your hands there....either you have huge raccoons in MN or there's another larger critter....seen any bears around?
Agree…small bear vs seriously big-ass raccoon

Yeah they’re crafty, ruthless suckers. We saw them scheming in the evening before the crime!
