Hidden 200psi air compressor and 2.5gal tank installed under bed vault

Found an air compressor and tank that fit in the space underneath the smugglers bay. Wasn’t the cheapest option, but works pretty well. Power is taken from the roof 48V using a 48v-24v DC-DC converter mounted inside the side wall.

Compressor: 200psi/24v VIAIR 330C-HG
Tank: 2.5gal VIAIR

Great idea however I’m concerned about the new ports protruding into the bed from the side and stuff in the bed sliding and damaging them. Maybe it’s be better to relocate them into the smuggler’s bay?

That's a great point, definitely not ideal (I've caught them on a few things and almost impaled a watermelon once).

The smugglers bay would be a great option but a pain to get to when the bed is packed. Eventually I plan to recess the connections and switches behind the sidewall with a small cover (similar to the power outlets on the opposite side).

Excellent, I wish this was a standard item on the truck from the start. If you relocate the air connectors and switches I would consider putting them down by the tow hitch. That would be my first thought.
