One solution would be to buy an after market mirror that has it built in, around $150 on amazon, although seems rough to spend money on mirror that doesn't work 90% or the time. Here is another option that with a little bit of 3d printing, could just replace the current rear view mirror.

I did that exact thing for my Maverick except, it was a mirror for another car brand which I can't remember right now. It was $27 and easy enough to install. It has 3 different garage door buttons and a compass readout. If anyone cares, I can get the brand when I get back to my truck after work.

What I did in the long run, was go-to Home Depot and I ended up buying a MyQ hub and sensor ($17) to allow my garage door opener (Genie) to work with MyQ. Homelink works with Genie garage door

I have one of those things I got for registering myq to my tesla for $1. Except I don't know how to install to a community gate (I'm the HOA president) because of possibly safety standards. I have WiFi and power access, but not sure if I can program it to the gate which is a genie.

Kia Homelink auto dimming compass mirror

There's also this one that works with the standard mirror attachment point:

Tesla Cybertruck Homelink on Cybertruck - anyone install? 1724692598960-bd

The Lexus one in the picture is about $100 while the Kia one is now about $55. Difference is the Kia one is auto dimming with a compass. The Lexus one is manual dimming but is battery powered for the homelink so there's no wiring to do.

EDIT: Full disclosure - I haven't tried either in a Cybertruck.

Thanks, I'll have to look into it. I am looking at a way to get a video rear view mirror much like the Hummer Ev has, that also has the 3 button homelink, intercept the video signal Tesla is sending to the center screen and display it on the mirror (what Tesla should have done in the first place IMHO)

I’ve owned my house for years and have never been able to get MyQ to work, even though my Chamberlain garage door opener says it has WiFi and MyQ. In the app, I’m able to find the garage door opener and connect to my WiFi but it immediately says “sorry something went wrong.” I’ve spent hours troubleshooting by running an extender, checking bandwidth, checking MAC filters, etc. Now I’m back to using an old school opener. I miss HomeLink.

You said you are using a WiFi extender. When you try to connect the system using your phone, make sure your phone is connected to the same router that your MyQ system is being connected to. Setup will not work if phone is connected to a different WiFi access point. Hope this helps.

No homelink for CT? I wonder if they just assume most people won’t even be parking in their garage.

Have people been having issues with this? Fitting the CT in their garage? (I assume there’s a thread for this).

The bummer for outdoor community gates is the MyQ hardware options are for indoor use.

Homelink was kinda expensive at $300 (after Tesla stopped including circa 2020) but worked basically anywhere with 120v power.

It is a subscription though…
Ok?

MyQ subscription is cheaper than buying Homelink. If MyQ raises the subscription rate, just cancel...use a manual door opener.

Homelink isn't available for the CT and many don't think it ever will be.

The best part about MyQ* is that it is account based, not vehicle / end unit based. I.e. if you have multiple Tesla's and garage door openers, you only need to buy 1 subscription (that 10 year, $300 offer is reasonable). That being said, it doesn't work everywhere and that's the reason why I bought my own homelink adapter off ebay for $180 and installed it myself.

MyQ is better anyway. It’s great
Except you are not able to stop the garage door halfway, that's my biggest pet peeve about it. It's better in the sense that you know for a fact if you left the garage open or closed and you can close it remotely, etc. However, if it starts closing on you by mistake, you better get your truck out of the way because it will get crushed by the garage door, there's no way to stop it from the car. Maybe I'm dumb and I haven't figured it out but I had a separate thread about this and everybody agreed that there's no way to stop the garage door once it's opening or closing , you have to wait for it to fully open or fully close before activating MyQ on the Cyber truck again.
