Knowing the door is already open is nice. MyQ needs the Internet to control doors, which can have issues on both sides. I'd rather not pay for a service even if a lifetime license is available. I don't want to rely on the internet and some companies' servers that can go away at any time.MyQ subscription covers all of your cars, the cost is less than the $350 Tesla charges to add homelink on its other car.
Add that it recognizes door open/close status and it gets better.
Happy to pay $300 to get two cars connected for ten years.
So far haven't used the MyQ app other than to set it up (which was trivial)
Will MyQ open automatically?
