I recommend a pair of those think black gloves tattoo artists use and lots of Costco baby wipes to remove it.

That’s how we got rid of it.
Have an 18 month old, a 4 year old, and a 6 year old, so you know I got the baby wipes. Looks like like the kids and I are gonna have to do a bit of role-playing later on today though.

I’ve now had my CT on the road for about 5 days now and I’ve had…

4 - Can I take a picture?
1 - I don’t understand why you’d buy that thing.
1 - That’s sick!
1 - Middle finger
3-5 - Thumbs up
2-3 - Eye rolls
10+ - Slowing down to look & maybe snap a p

Love it or hate it, the Cybertruck pulls reactions. But I think it’s about 70% positive, even from people would aren’t hugely fond of the look.

Been driving around a few days now with 50% tint on the windshield and 15% tint on the sides so they really can’t see me. It’s actually quite satisfying as I don’t feel like I’m part of any reaction being given positive or negative unless I choose to roll down the window.

As many have said, the attention can be wearing, and am experiencing that as where I live, there is only one other CT, for now

The birds I got on the road came from big pickup trucks. And one was a loud dodge charger. I think those are because it’s an EV. For the casual idiot that might hate EVs, it’s hard for them to figure out which ones are actually EVs. The Cybertruck is very easy to identify as an EV. Even a loser with 3 brain cells knows it.
So you're saying it runs on electricity instead of gasoline? And that triggers some people?

Interesting.

I live in Los Angeles so not much reaction but Their was some punk kid driving by yelling”nice truck” in the most annoying obnoxious way possible and all I could think is they needed a good kick in the ass
On the flip side I was in Palm Springs last weekend and a group from Germany pulled up and loved it. They said “they don’t allow this in Germany we love it “. Not sure if that’s the or what but they were super cool

First time I experienced any vandalism on the CT. Parked on a busy street in Manhattan. No big deal. Used baby wipes on the road and then did a thorough clean later. But was a bit surprised someone would do that. No detected events on Sentry mode. Probably because it was from a distance.

“Parked on a busy street in Manhattan” says it all. There’s just way too many oddballs rolling around…

I had a guy walk up to mine while it was parked. He looked at it a bit and then picked at something that was stuck to the side right in front of my rear fender flare... I don't know what it was. Anyway, he then walked to the back and with the pinky part of a fist (don't know how else to describe it), he wiped off my Beast logo... Didn't seem malicious. But still, why do people think it's okay to get all handsy?

He wasn't homeless or anything. I park in a large, secured parking lot with lots of lights, cameras, and police presence. The guy works in my building, but I don't know most of the 20,000+ people who work here.

- I've gotten several enthusiastic thumbs up and one quite elderly lady who got my attention and then just gushed "I really like your ride. I like it! Yes, I do. Who makes that?" "Tesla", I say. Person in the 2nd row in her van claps their hands in a "I told you, Grandma" kind of way.

Very funny to me.

While I may be jinxing myself here, I haven't received any negative feedback yet.

I picked up my Beast May 9, 2024 from Cherry Hill, NJ, but drive it in several states where I work. I get all kinds of reactions, both good and bad, but mostly good. Anyway, driving those distances means I am away from home often, as

drive approximately 1000 miles per week.
Imagine my surprise to fine a note tucked into the front door of my home, by some stranger- a young man of 24, who goes on to explain why he loves it, and wants 15-30 minutes of my time, so he can drive it!

I have had far, far less negative reactions than I expected. I think that the CT hate is a mostly online and outspoken group. The usual reactions I get are excitement and photo requests. Kids absolutely love it too, including Sasha's kids. They are obsessed and one of their first words was CYBERTRUCK. :ROFLMAO: There is hope for future generations as children seem to be really excited about Teslas in general.

Well I hope you let that kid take it for a spin. It’s nice to see a hard working kid have the cajones to write a note like that, get outside his shell, and take some initiative and time to write a letter. That’s the behavior we should reward, instead of some punk doing a TikTok. It’s nice sometimes to pay it forward.

I was driving down the street with the windows down on a warm day. As I was driving by a man standing in his yard, who looked at my CT, I heard him yell "what the hell?" with his arms raised!

I saw a man taking a picture of my CT while I was parked. I asked him what do you think? He said, "he doesn't like it." Wondering why he took the picture then?

Howdy!
My name is Lewin Day, I'm a journalist with The Autopian. I've chatted with a few of you on various Cybertruck topics, and it's always great to get the real scoop from the people who actually own and drive the vehicles. Really appreciate the insights you've all shared.

I'm currently working on a story regarding how Cybertruck owners are treated out in public. I've heard a few tales of people getting the middle finger, or having other drivers yell at them—seemingly just because they're in a Cybertruck.

What we really want to know is genuine experiences from real owners—both good and bad. Maybe you've had someone yell at you that they hate your truck, or maybe you've had someone give you a thumbs up and a knowing nod.

If you'd like to share a story, let me know below. Alternatively, email me at [email protected]. If you've got photos of your truck, too, I'd love to feature some of them as well.

Appreciate your help! Hoping I can get the truth about what's really going on out there.
