If you actually have a need for an 80A charger these get good reviews. But like everyone said Teslas can't use them.Hey guys I am not to Tesla and EVs in general and was gonna buy a wall charger and happen to notice this one…. I looked at the price and figured it was the newest charger offered by Tesla but it’s not on the website
What do you expect it to do that's worth $250 from the "not homemade looking" Tesla Wall Connector? If you actually have a need for an 80A charger these get good reviews. But like everyone said Teslas can't use them.

I intend on getting one of these when they get the NACS connector on it. Slightly smaller than many of the others but much better sealed.

So we'll then start with the 80A is just a waste of money. If it is NOT mounted permanent, then you can only use half the current capability and the 40A is a LOT cheaper and rated for the maximum plug capability. Not be destroyed in weather and punishment.
It won't be permanently wall mounted.
According to some people here on the forum some of the older wall connectors won't even work on the CT. I think I read those laments correctly. It's actually an old charger, no longer for sale. This is probably a single item and stupidly overpriced.
Feel free to get it, but you may feel stupid when you find that the truck won't charge that fast.
Only some early Model S and Model X had the capability.
New vehicles, including the Cybertruck max at 48A. Some can only do 32A.
Gen 2 certainly works. I also tried a Gen 1 and it did not work, but people have reported that changes to the internal dipswitch settings might get a Gen 1 working.According to some people here on the forum some of the older wall connectors won't even work on the CT.
