It's actually an old charger, no longer for sale. This is probably a single item and stupidly overpriced.

Feel free to get it, but you may feel stupid when you find that the truck won't charge that fast.

Only some early Model S and Model X had the capability.

New vehicles, including the Cybertruck max at 48A. Some can only do 32A.

I just took one of those off the wall this morning to install the new Universal Wall Connector to support Powershare. It might be worth tracking one down if you had an older dual charger S (80A) or high power charging optioned S/X (72A), but none of the current Tesla vehicles support anything over 48A. They weren't anywhere near that expensive new.

If you actually have a need for an 80A charger these get good reviews. But like everyone said Teslas can't use them.

I intend on getting one of these when they get the NACS connector on it. Slightly smaller than many of the others but much better sealed.

My Gen 3 charger for our Model Y kicked the bucket (apparently) during our move. Is there a way to replace the guts?

What do you expect it to do that's worth $250 from the "not homemade looking" Tesla Wall Connector?
Not be destroyed in weather and punishment.
It won't be permanently wall mounted.

So we'll then start with the 80A is just a waste of money. If it is NOT mounted permanent, then you can only use half the current capability and the 40A is a LOT cheaper and rated for the maximum plug capability.

I'm pretty sure that they really aren't designed for the punishment. They appear to be built into classic off-the-shelf aluminum boxes.

If you aren't going to mount it, the difference between the Grizzl-e classic 40A and the Tesla Mobile Connector is minimal. It really only makes a difference if your daily commute is over 100 miles per day.

According to some people here on the forum some of the older wall connectors won't even work on the CT. I think I read those laments correctly.

Just a FYI all, that the Tesla Wall connectors are not chargers themselves. The chargers are actually on-board the vehicles. The current limiting in the Wall Connectors is make it so you don’t exceed the safety rating (max amps capability) of the wires going to the Wall Connector, so minus 10% for safety, max amperage set on the Wall Connector is 40 amps. I have 6 gauge wires with a 50 amp breaker pair. The Wall Connector is basically a fancy power switch.

Gen 2 certainly works. I also tried a Gen 1 and it did not work, but people have reported that changes to the internal dipswitch settings might get a Gen 1 working.
