So what is new here? It has always been supervised, and they only changed the name because of the dufusses out there that tried to use it as a chauffeur. When it no longer requires supervision they will change the name again, or do you think that you bought a shrink wrapped piece of software and will have to buy another version later? That isn’t how it works. We have been getting regular updates for years.I think they are just clarifying that the unsupervised version of FSD isn't out yet, therefore you will only be getting the supervised version currently.
Gee, why was Google Gmail listed as beta for 10 years? Were you the kid who always asked “are we there yet?” We are all champing at the bit for FSD on the Cybertruck but it will come when it comes. Why do we pay for FSD but do not receive it?
Not the best analogy. You could use Gmail day 1, and it was free.Gee, why was Google Gmail listed as beta for 10 years? Were you the kid who always asked “are we there yet?” We are all champing at the bit for FSD on the Cybertruck but it will come when it comes.
Like you said, they only changed the name so people more clearly know that the vehicle can't drive itself yet without some sort of intervention (i.e ,touching the steering wheel, keeping eyes forward). So what is new here? It has always been supervised, and they only changed the name because of the dufusses out there that tried to use it as a chauffeur. When it no longer requires supervision they will change the name again, or do you think that you bought a shrink wrapped piece of software and will have to buy another version later? Because the supercomputer cluster used to train the CT at Giga Texas isn't online yet.Why do we pay for FSD but do not receive it?
