Yes, i received a letter in the mail (hard copy, snail mail) informing me that I should schedule an appointment for the wiper motor. When I went to schedule the appointment, the flex cable and sail appliqué’s were also added. I already had the sail appliqué’s replaced, so when I take it in I need to ask if they have another revised version or if that needs to be removed from service.

I also had that cable harness guide thing inspected and installed.

FWIW, my appliques (and wiper motor) were replaced twice.

First replacement was pre-recall letter in July.

Second replacement was post-recall letter in August.

Surprisingly they don’t make any contact with the tire. I’m no aerophile (not a real word), but wouldn’t this create a little bit of drag?

I think ideally it would be flush, but the cover should be more efficient than no cover.

I've seen multiple people just have the service center drop them in the bed, so I think yes.

I don’t think the SC will install unless your having something done already or you get a good SC Rep. they don’t want to scratch the wheel and/or not enough techs. That’s what I’ve been told SC in Irvine. They say since instructions are on line it’s on us. I bet they would if you fuss!

I also just had the flat flex cable harness guide installed. Unfortunately my harness was damaged too. Sounds like they got it replaced though.
