I use my CT as a daily driver, have loaded it up for college freshman dropoff (obligatory picture below), filled it with bags of salt and treat it like any other SUV I've ever owned - it has to earn it's keep. It's been an incredible four+ months and 3,000+ miles averaging nearly 3 mi/kwh (336 Wh/mi if you prefer) but here are a few improvements I'd like to see after living with it every day:. In no particular order
  1. A lower "low" mode. This thing looks badass dropped down, I'd like to drive it in entry mode if I could.
  2. WTF is up with the open front center console? It's completely useless space between the driver's and passengers footwells. The best use case I've got is putting a tray of drinks and driving very, very, carefully. Maybe you could put one book there. What else? Why not staple nets to the sides or, better, yet, seal it up and turn it into a proper center console like we've got in the Model S or X. Plenty of secured storage, more cubbies and higher utility. This is...wasteful.
  3. Rear seat wireless chargers in armrest. Seriously, one of the hidden perks of the Model S refresh from way back in 2021 was the two wireless charging pads that were in the center fold/down armrest in the back seat. No wires, plugs, dongles. Just fold down the armrest and place your phone like a civiled front-seat occupant.
  4. Speaking of wireless charging, the pad in the Model S I owned previously had an air vent just above the phones and my phones never once got overly warm or overheated. The wireless charger design here with zero ventilation feels like a major step backward. Why Wes, why?
  5. A track-like wheel, tire and brake package. Look, Australian utes are not for everyone, I get it. But the Cybertruck is 90% of the way there. Drop it down, beef up the brakes, increase wheel sizes and put Pilot Sport 4S's on them and take the monster to the track. We're so very close.
  6. I saved this for last. What I really want is a Cyber-SUV. Not a Model X minivan claiming to be an SUV but a proper third row and enclosed trunk instead of the truck bed. It would be Tesla's Escalade, Yukon, Mercedes GLS, BMW X7 or Land Rover Defender 130 destroyer. tesla has historically built two passenger vehicles per chassis - S/X, 3/Y - so how about the CyberSUV? If Rivian can do it with the R1S and R1T I know Tesla can pull it off and it would be magnificent.
What else is on everyone's list now that we have more CT owners in the world?

I forgot one.

7. Homelink. Just install it. My Model S had it, it was great. I had Tesla retrofit it into a used Model Y I picked up for the kids and it works great. Just include Homelink.

I’m with you on #2.
The only other improvement I would like is a water resistant, water tight cover (like other truck bed covers)

Which exact homelink did you use? I have not kept up. I bought a cheap garage door opener.

This is my current Cybertruck solution, an old-fashioned clicker. *sigh*

Completely agree here. This thing leaks like a sieve. Cover was closed during an overnight rain, opened it the next morning to find this on each side. Shared with Tesla service during my next visit to see if they could fix it. "Performing as expected". eh?

The cover limitations are in the manual. I would have preferred a water resistant version, like I have on my tundra.

For me. The two things I want Tesla to do is fix the creaking noise coming from the seats and center console. It wasn’t there when I picked my CB. Now, it’s starting to annoy me as hell. I have a SC appointment but I have a feeling they will push it off and say there’s nothing they can do about them. Not acceptable. I have cars that cost 2/3 the price of the CB and it quiet has heck. Damn, I have even have cars that’s 5 years old and doesn’t make any noise. Second, make the truck bed water proof. What‘s the purpose of having a tonneau when it can’t protect it from the elements such as rain.

Love the idea of a cyber SUV. the “X’ is old in the tooth, and even if refreshed, it would likely lack 48v architecture, steer by wire, and the other innovations in the CB.

Mine's starting to creak. I was wondering if it was just me.

Mine leaked as delivered.

I fixed it in 15 minutes at zero cost. Now it's dry through the stormiest weather. I wish I could say the same about the BakFlip tonneau on my F-150, it's leaked from day 1.

This is a cut/paste from a previous post describing how I fixed my bed leaks:

For my Cybertruck it was just removing the 5" wide aluminum trim behind the roof glass and noticing there were two gaps in the foam strip running the width of the truck, the same two spots where the water was flowing into the bed. I also noticed there was extra foam strip on either end. So I pinched a piece off each end that wasn't needed and used the gummy glue that was still attached to the foam I had pinched off and stuck them in the two gaps. The aluminum trim compresses this foam strip when it is re-installed so the bits shouldn't move.

No more bed leaks. I'm not sure why the person who installed this foam strip at the factory left two obvious gaps, it looked like it was done on purpose. But I'm sure it was not as specified by the vehicle design because you don't want to drain roof water into the center of the bed on purpose. I think the factory had a bad actor, it did not look like careless or lazy workmanship to me. More like sabotage by an employee. The world is filled with freaks, weirdos and mal-adjusted, unhappy people.
