User error, this truck is tough as nails and the best on the market.

The duct tape will just give it character, congrats…
What would be the error? Driving? ? Though I’d say there probably is more to the story.

Had my cybertruck for 4 days and this thing broke, see the picture. I dove a total of 200 miles. not sure if it is an issue comes with the delivery or I got something on the highway.

I put a duck tape to hold it in place which obviously doeswork.

Does anyone know if the warrantee would cover it? I really hate to go to the service so if anyone knows how to fix it, please instruct.

I've had the same issue. The replacements ordered through Tesla were not the same as the originals and have already come off.

Mine did too. I hit a chunk of 18 wheeler rubber on the highway. As others have said, send in a pic on the app. Tesla had to order the part which took 3 days and then installed at my place of work. $65. Easy.

Thanks. Appreciate it.

seperatre question, I paid for FSD but when it is delivered it says fsd will be available in a later time through software upgrade. Do you know when the feature will be delivered?
You’ll probably get it with an over the air update shortly. They likely deliver these with an earlier software version. Shouldn’t take more than a month I would guess. But be warned it’s not great on the CT yet they have some catching up to do. Be on high alert. We are not as comfortable with CT as we are in our 3. A ton of disengagements.

This is what shows on my screen. The software is up to date, but FSD is not available yet… any idea what to here?

That screen makes me believe Tesla hasn’t processed your FSD purchase I would raise a service request for that and hopefully it will get sorted out.

I had the same issue when I first got it. Take it to the dealership and they will replace it for you for free

Maybe you ran over wildlife too.

It's a very cheap part to replace, don't sweat it.

Only $65 for a $.25 piece of ... plastic that takes 30 seconds to install? Another example of Tesla's amazing engineering and stellar customer service.

I believe the owners manual includes a warning that says "this POS mudguard should NOT be used in mud or rain or winds in excess of 10 mph".

I managed to break both passenger side deflectors when I got a little rambunctious, off-road, in low ride height. I scheduled a service appointment and when they quoted me the total charges for service, they quoted $0 as they were under warranty. It was very generous, but I knew I was completely to blame, and I said so, so they charged me $70 each. That was my experience, YMMV.

Wow that sucks. This is why I’m just holding on to my reservation cause I’m not paying $80,000 for a truck that seems to break from every corner. Tesla needs to get its head out of its own A** and get all these issues resolved or stop making the truck until it does. It just seems that Elon does care about its customers anymore. Ever since he bought X he has lost his way with Tesla. It’s very disappointing to hear that you all are having issue.
