- Redesigned center console extending all the way through or giving us that 6th seat

- Bigger side view Mirrors or just get rid of them all together

- Instrument cluster or HUD

- Get rid of the rear screen as it gets kicked by the little ones, instead integrated IPad holders into the seat and somehow allow an app or connection to the same features available in that lower screen through the iPad

- Rear lowering glass

Add aux video feed option to display on screen (for towing). Many after-market towing cameras use 802.11 (wifi) protocol so this could even be a potential software update on existing models.

CT Gen 2 Wishlist, Revised for Nov 2024

  • Improve the charging curve to similar to the new Porsche Taycan which stays close to 250 kw for over 60% of the charge cycle (maybe we have to wait for a full V4 front and backend supercharger), I have not seen the newest, best curve for the CT
  • Color changing DRL lightbar, similar to the interior ambient lighting.
  • Move window switches forward on each door arm rest for avg arm length.
  • Power outlet in the frunk. Heck, while you're at it add a USBC port as well.
  • Speakers in the frunk. Ultimate frunkgater!
  • Rear underseat storage cubby should be standard not optional.
  • Wireless phone chargers in the back seat armrest. Clears up the cable clutter for the back seaters.
  • Rear seat cup holders below the rear screen, rear center console.
  • Built-in step on the corners of the bumpers. I think most other pickups have these.
  • Footstep ahead of the rear wheel to reach into the bed over the sail panel. I picture something similar to what was on some older military aircraft where there's a spring loaded cover for the step that stays flush with the body until you jam your foot into it.
  • Bed light that's at the rear of the roof. The existing bed lights are nice, but would be good to have one that's higher up as well.
  • CyberSUV. Would be an absolute home run. I'm not really a truck guy, don't really need a truck, but I'm carting around this big ol' bed all of the time. A CyberSUV would just killlllllll!!!
  • tailgate auto close
  • tailgate step built in
  • roof glass starlink mount and integrated wiring for power
  • Modify rear window for lowering/opening, larger size and lower position for better visibility into the bed. This facilitates open/close/controllable duct work into the bed, to permit heat and AC to enter an closed bed when sleeping or basecamp.
  • change review view mirror into larger rear view video/mirror appliance
  • 2025 4680s Gen 4, AWD AT tires, range improves to 440 miles, Gen 5 4680 2026 we get 500 miles.
  • Washer on rear camera.
  • Enable side mirror removal ability and option to purchase add real side towing mirrors.
  • Fix the body shelf in front of the head light beam to prevent debris, snow from blocking the light.
  • Fix the charging port or provide a CCS adapter that fits.
  • Provide an option for a front bench seat so that the CT can fit crew of six, better when as a work truck.
  • For the two seat front, fix the charging pad for phone cooling similar to what Porsche is providing in the new Taycan.
  • Install a HUD or small screen behind the steering wheel, like the S and X.
  • Create a pseudo mid wall opening to permit heat and AC to enter an closed bed when sleeping or basecamp.
  • Add aux video feed option to display on screen (for towing). Many aftermarket towing cameras use 802.11 (wifi) protocol so this could even be a potential software update on existing models.
  • Correct the Tourneau cover to ensure waterproof, need to protect our tools.
  • As an upgrade or accessory, add heavier duty upper control arms.
  • Some want Steam hardware option for high end gaming.
  • USBC powered ports, under center dash as to not use OBDII port for power of dash accessories.

Power doors similar to the X. I'd pay for a retrofit for that. Even if it was just the front doors....

Fifth wheel option. May not be practical with the high bed sides.

Someone is in the midst of posting a replacement of the bed top trim with stainless. Lets watch how that comes out before adding to the list.

If you sleep in the back and want to watch the big screen, do we feel the main display with rotating mount is necessary?

I'll add one. This is a software update.

Ability to set the truck up so that when you plug in at home, it will charge to a preset amount instantly (say, 50%) and THEN follow your preset charging schedule.

Why?

Came home. 42%. Plugged in. Power flicked off for about 2 seconds. Powershare didn't even need to activate. No problem. Went to bed. Woke up. Truck was at 32%. No power outage during the night. The charger just didn't charge Fluffy up. I'm not sure what happened. Takes me about 30% to get to work and back. Babied it. Had 7% left when I got home.

Charges normal now.

But, I was thinking that if I got home and it stormed during the night and my truck was already low, it wouldn't be ready for me in the morning if it had to do some backup duties. Two things:

1. I should be able to charge up to a set amount during peak times and then be set up to charge the rest of the way for scheduled departure time.
2. If there's bad weather, and I haven't told Fluffy to NOT charge during certain hours, it would be nice if my truck would basically say "Hey, weather looks like it might be a power-out storm, so I think I'll just top off my battery early this evening and then still get ready to go to work in the morning."

I'm here for the CyberSUV with a dash screen and a mini-Optimus I can operate via voice to touch the screen for me to keep off fingerprints.

Oh, and a functional wireless cell phone charger - like already exists on the 2021+ S/X.

You do have the 'start charging' button in the app if you want to tank up before a storm.

That's what I did when I got home yesterday. I don't know why the charger didn't start. It was like the power blip reset it and it didn't get the handshake signal afterwards so didn't know it was connected. THAT does not bode well... Hence the "I want to make sure I have enough power to get to work if that happens again".
